The wooden clogs are the traditional Dutch shoe all working people wore them with their traditional outfits, fishermen, farmers, housewives... They're still worn nowadays for gardening and as safety shoes on factory environments The dime store doll is so beautiful and MOD she reminds me of the Mexican child actress Evita Muñiz The shoes are all vintage and MOD moulds, some are clone but are still the perfect touch to finish a mod or vintage outfit, the hangers are the kind that came with vintage and MOD Barbie fashions when new in package, they display beautifully on a rack with vintage fashions. I am so glad you liked everything as it was sent with love ! Thanks for the trade Manny!!!!

Oh yes, someone mentioned the dresses were euro releases, so maybe that's why I didn't recognize them. Thank you Gabe, you new exactly what I would like!

Congratulations - lots of beautiful surprises there. Ballerina Cara and Barbie are my favourite vintage Mattel dolls, next to Quick Curl Barbie, Francie and Kelley. I believe Cara outshined Barbie in her pink tutu. I managed to purchase on still in box - what a pleasure for the eyes.

The blue eyebrows are crazy, but it really works somehow. i enjoy clone doll, too, but mainly for the fashions. i find clone doll clothing to be so charming. Especially Maddie Mod. Playing with Maddie Mod clothes, to me, is like time travel. i get the same sensation with Barbie clothes, but interacting with Maddie Mod fashions feels as if i shopped at an actual boutique in the early seventies and bought the clothes. And they go so well with other vintage fashions.

I need to keep my eyes out for some Maddie Mod clothes now that I have many more mod dolls in my collection.

@@somelikeitvntg i think you're in luck, because you live on the west coast. There seems to be an abundance of vintage doll stuff over there.

The Steffie faded face can be fixed. There’s a trick that people use to recolor mod dolls. Most people use the brand ‘copic’ for markers and just recolor wherever it’s needed. I do know you can use other brands of markers as well. The thing I don’t know is which shades people use.
@somelikeitvntg10 ай бұрын
Ahh, yes I have tried this with my Growin Pretty Hair Francie. Though she wasn't as yellow as this Steffie is. I saw a video of heads being put in water and denture tablets. That seemed to undo some of the yellowing, so maybe I can try that before applying the copic marker. When it comes to copic markers, I have the most success with RV21 Light Pink to match the color of the body.

Great trade! The wooden shoes are amazing and as a "modern" Steffi Love fan loved seeing the Steffi Standard. Wonder if it's her ancestor?

I had no idea about the vintage Standard body still being in use during the Malibu era, that's kind of crazy to me. Always assumed even the budget dolls were TnT then. Always learning new things about dolls. 😄

The clone doll is SO pretty, kinda reminds me of Licca-chan! The dress Cara is wearing is from a Chic Barbie from 2000/2001:)
