I think the nets are the perfect team to ethier trade for Dame straight up. Or be the 3rd team to take on Herro in order to have Dame go to the heat. The trade should be Nets get Herro, Kyle Lowry and jovic Trail blazers get ben Simmons, deraq whitehead, Noah Clooney, Jamie jaquez Jr and 4 1sts Heat get Dame & nurkic The nets should then trade royce in a 3 team trade. @@jpeech7374The goal for the Blazers is going to be to tank. They aren’t trading Dame to get better, they’re trading him to get worse, which Ben helps with. His salary, while necessary to complete the trade already as is, also helps them long term. As you said, 2 years left. He’s on a max contract. Meaning that the Blazers get 2 years to develop their talents before entering the end of that contracts free agency with the money to sign a above decent player with max contract money, if they decide to compete after just two years. The literal ONLY thing that doesn’t make sense from his package is trading Dame AND Nurk to the Heat. Adding Dame to the Heat already makes them favorites to win a title, but adding Nurk makes them near guarantees, which doesn’t make sense for the Blazers to give into. Edit: Ayton to the Hornets for that package also doesn’t make much sense, but that wasn’t really what your comment was about so we’ll move past that one.
