The guy who you traded with reminds me of myself. Back when I was younger, I made trades I regret years later. For example, I traded in like 10-15 or so gameboy advance games for a brand new DS with pokemon diamond when first released. I sold 3DS games for $10-$20 a piece because I had to move out and needed space. Traded many pokemon and yugioh cards for video games that were popular at the time, etc. Of course cant dwell in the past, but I totally can relate.

@@JoseAntonio-qe5hy hmm depends on the person I guess. But kinda neat to see it once in a while. It's kinda the memories, u can emulate the game. But the experience kinda ain't the same. For the space issue, dpends if ur rich or poor, if ur rich u probably have all the game systems and games just fly by you, to the point they are not meaningful and u have a bulk of them lying around. But as a rich person u can easily afford space, while being poor space is a real issue. But Id like to point out that in the video, he was able to fit it all in a small box. Im pretty sure it would be neat to have someone come over and just play retro games with. And when they are unusable, Im pretty sure with some glass and glue anyone can make it into something worth displaying. Sorry Im not much of an achiever, so games of any form of memorabilia is my form of looking into the past. People even say I shouldn't keep figurines unless I plan to sell them. One time I got one switch which I still keep for myself that I bought from a Kid, he lost its charger and cant turn it on with regular charger, I got that for 50 bucks include 2 joycon and the dock. While I myself wouldn't trade most (ie almost all) of my old stuff, partly due to nostalgia and partly due to being a collector, I could maybe see this guy's casual logic. Avoid all hassle with selling + make your kids happy with a quick Switch-switch (yes I tried to make a funny) and just buy a cheap handheld emulation machine (with incredibly superior screen if we're talking VS older handhelds) for playing older stuff and don't mess with old cartridges and such. Yeah there is charm in actually playing the original hardware, especially cartridge-based, but with some older stuff (like the NES) it's also a PITA. I mean I still don't get this at all, considering handhelds tend to hold up, but hey... I'm also not a casual. Bit of a downer to hear this was all just to quickly flip though (oh and the US/NTSC prices sound crazy. Don't think that's what CIB GBA goes for here but I've also been out of the loop). I get it and I don't; I like it and I dislike it. The cognitive dissonance is real:P

My last 3 new XLs sold for $350. People have been tripping over themselves to get Pokémon games, I think that has something to do with it

The point of these trades is to make money. He was thrilled with the deal, and I gave him way more than any video game store would have. Sounds like a win win to me

@@PhoenixResale he was thrilled because he didn’t know. And not only that, he will regret it later. You really added nothing of value to his life in the long term.

The problem with that Spyro game is that most Spyro fans play PlayStation and get the games on PS1 and PS2, not many Spyro fans looking for GBA Spyro, I personally have that game on my PS2.

RIP to the guys childhood collection, but you got one hell of a haul. All for a Switch and two games. I got to try my luck with this, but I doubt I’ll get anything like this. Damn, he got robbed lol.

If I ever were to trade for what they were I would tell the person over and over that this is a very serious decision, it doesn't seem it at first but as time goes on you will be reminded of those times you had while on those games and if youre anything like me, regret heavily what you did. I sold my collection to a friend 10 years ago, the games are in a safe place where they will be cherished but that doesnt take away the fact I gave away my childhood and beat myself up about it all the time. Memories are priceless.

What's a good place to get those gba box cases?
@moerezai92392 жыл бұрын
Hey Caleb, for the creasing of the top flap of the game case use a piece of parchment paper and an iron on lowest heat and iron it out.
