Haha! I didn't know that! But I think when they asked me high or low maintenance they meant more like all over color vs. highlights.

I see! Red pigment is really unstable so it washes out quickly, I went burgundy a while back and within a few washes I was a flaming ginger! The colour you got is gorgeous though, it looks like one that will wash out nicely ❤️ There are shampoos that you can use to keep your colour nice and vibrant too, my favourite brand is De Lorenzo, I use them to keep my pinks and purples bright but they have a huge colour range in their products. Highly recommend if you can order them into where you are :) Enjoy your lovely new hair!

colour theory should be learnt in all grades. I never knew how many people didnt know what colours mixed with what.

I was never taught colour theory in school, but I did learn a few of the basics during the few art classes I had in high school...though I forgot nearly everything I learned.

The basics are pretty easy and what was mainly taught in school, like what primary colours should be mixed to get the desired secondary one but I think for hair, it’s a little more difficult than that because the undertone of the hair and the dye have to be considered as well. Idk. :/

Also have to learn about bones and muscles, sanitation practices, nail and skin funguses, chemicals (perms and relaxers) and more! Also have to make a 89% or better to pass every test and quiz! Basically a B or higher to pass anything!

I've dyed my hair purple twice on my own and pink 3 times on my own, and had my hair dyed purple once by a professional. far and away, it has always been better when I did it myself. and it's wayyyyyy cheaper which has left me room in my budget to try out 4 different brands of dye and find my favorite!
