For future reference, you could use blue stained glass so it blends in with the water and it doesn’t look like the lava has glass on top of it.

The pain with ponds like that is that even if the whole surface of the pond is source blocks, it'll still be "flowing" water beneath. Really annoying for large overworld ponds if you want to fish and get treasure
