3:39 This is because Minecraft uses 2 different sliders for world rendering. Chunk Render Distance. Simulation Distance. The former is the one everyone is familiar with. It just indicates how far away the game will show you blocks and entities. The latter is just how far out entity AI and other data is rendered. If a crop is just outside your render distance but still inside your simulation distance, it will continue to grow, even when you can't physically see it. Simulation Distance is bigger than Chunk Render Distance by default, so that is why the smoke particles show up before anything else is rendered. Or at least this is my theory.

This is an interesting build, I've always loved the Create mod, Something I've found that makes it so much easier to transport everything is the Sophisticated Backpacks and Sophisticated Storage mods, those are absolute life savers for storage and transporting.

Could have built the Minecraft village closer to your house. Then just transported a couple villagers to breed and make more villagers. That way you had the village already set up by your base
