Mango is a tropical fruit. Can be harvested during the months of March - May which is the best time for ripe mangoes and only special a one , Num Dok Mai Mango , can make delicious mango sticky rice. At the end of the mango season, it will be followed by durian season.Try Durian sticky rice , which is also delicious too. You can find delicious fruits to eat all year round in Thailand. some shops,stores want to maintain their quality so if they dont have a certain mango or grain due to season they dont sell it . they just sell other goods or other fruits. she said " MHOD NHA" that means "season ended" may b she'll sell again in a few weeks or months . U need to ask her phone number and check which week she could sell it.

The best time for mango in Thailand is around songkran festival thru July, I think. Nowadays Thai farmers try to force the mango to ripen during Nov.- Mar. because it is so-called high season for tourism.

In your hotel area (Ratchada Soi3)​.There have Jimjoom Sutthiporn (Somtam Restaurant). You can take motorcycle taxi to Jimjoom Sutthiporn Restaurant about THB 20. On the other hand In VDO if you walk down in right hand from hotel. Near 7-11 it's mango sticky rice shop also.

If you like this area , I recommend you Talad Wang Lang opposite to Siriraj hospital . It’s crazy with many shops and crowded. I recommended you to eat Somtum and sweet corn fried at Ku lib Heng restaurant in Talad Wang Lang ( คูลิบเฮง วังหลัง) or other Isan somtum restaurants in that area. You can also take a ferry across the Chao praya river at the market ( Wang lang pier) to the Ta Chang pier to discover Bangkok’s new underground landmark. Research more before going there man 😁😁😁 P.S. the ku lib heng may not have a good looking place but their sweet corn fried is a must dish. 🤣🤣🤣

Next time you should try this menu at Kor Panich shop which is located on Thanon Tanao a street close to Khao San Road and on Rattanakosin Island the area where all of Bangkok’s famous temples are located. Mangoes (Nam Dok Mai) and (Ok Rong) are best in this type of desert. Next time try Ok Rong you will see the difference.
