Looks like such a fun trip and good quality time with a friend. I once had a similar experience with my flight and it was pretty stressful- now I take photos of EVERYTHING. Glad it worked out!

Andy Cohen talked about taking the Long Island Train and peeing himself a little because his car had no restroom! I have never been to the Hamptons though I've lived on the East Coast most of my life! I've been to New York and Long Island and lived in Maine twice but have always passed by them. Thanks for vlogging this! I'm here for the vicarious visit! ❤ That cocktail looked AMAZING

I am from NY, I never saw the place so dead. It's really a fishing community. A working light house means the ships and boats and fisherman shippers rely on the light and sound from the lighthouse to be guided safely in the fog or a noreaster which are bad storms. We went there my mom and I stayed on the beach and my father and brother went deepsea fishing. I love trains too. Kinda of glad you got to go Thanks for sharing.

Oh nooo… there are some wonderful restaurants in the Hamptons. Although I have to say I haven’t eaten at too many places in Montauk. The parties at Gurney’s tend to be quite fun so if you ever go back that’s worth checking out at night. There are some great restaurants in East Hampton and Sag Harbor as well as off the beaten path shacks for Lobster Rolls and such. Last time I visited the Lighthouse was closed for renovations so I need to go back and see the exhibit but I LOVE lighthouses . There are tons of amazing smaller museums, art scene, book stores, antique stores and scenic drives on the back roads, but I have never been out there without a car so I am spoiled 🙈

So. One a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate this trip ? Somehow this did not seem to have your usual energy level , but maybe that is just me being weird. I have been to the Hamptons in the summer once , and once was enough !! It is soooo crowded a constant traffic jam to get everywhere. How you took pics that looks like no one is there is amazing. The angels must have sang and parted the crowd for you.

I’m so glad that you guys had a nice trip. I definitely agreed with someone’s comment about Vegas food being better than Hamptons food! I agree about not getting a dog 🐶 at the moment and to enjoy your life, and trips as well. I was always told …”don’t put anything off until tomorrow, because tomorrow isn’t promised! (Do it today)It’s funny because I’m dog sitting for my sister and brother in law cuz they are in Vegas right now. I always dog sit about 4times a year so they can have their fun in Vegas. Tyfs And, I absolutely loved the first train ride. The other, not so much! ❤

Loved the video. I come from the West Coast, so plenty of lighthouses there also. I was taught that Lighthouses served as navigation beacons for ships. Sometimes to signal a harbor. Sometimes to signal some potentially dangerous conditions. Some are still functioning but obviously with much better lights than 100 years ago. 🙂. I think in some places some are privately owned (which would be kinda cool!) but in other places they are state owned and part of the park system. Most of them still standing on Oregon are part of the parks system. Sorry for the random brain dump. 🙄🙄

Yes, also a West Coast girl. We have lighthouses all over the WA coast. I love them, because I love the sea. The East Coast is famous for lighthouses too, all up and down the coast. I’ve heard there are beautiful ones in North Carolina.

I got a bit of anxiety watching this video, like a quick couple of Google searches for planning and you would’ve enjoyed your trip so much more. Montauk is an old fishing village, it was odd that you kept on saying your Hampton trip. Wrong vibe. I highly suggest a little research before your upcoming trips to get the most out of them.
