I travelled 600 km for this | Taste Of Tibet, M G Marg Gangtok | Sikkim Non Veg Food Series Ep- 1

Recently I was on a 15 days trip to Sikkim to explore various places and taste local food of Sikkim. I tried a lot of local delicacies and everything was absolutely incredible. In this video I covered a very famous Tibetan restaurant at M G Marg, Gangtok Sikkim called Taste of Tibet. This restaurant is located on the third story, so while you dine you can also watch people on M G Marg.
At first I thought Taste of Tibet may be a bit of a tourist restaurant, but after eating there for the first time, I discovered that while some tourist did eat there, it was also a local favorite. So if you're looking for a good Tibetan food restaurants when you're in Gangtok, Sikkim which is close to M G Marg , be sure to check out Taste of Tibet.
In this video you see me trying Chicken Steam Momos along with a very yummy soup and some super hot radish pickle. Chicken Momos was juicy and full of flavors, We really loved the steam chicken momos so thought to try its fried version too. Fried chicken momos had the same filling but then it was not at par to the steam chicken momos.
There after we ordered the authentic Tibetan dish Chicken Thenthuk and this was the dish for which I have travelled for almost 600 km from Patna to Gangtok. Chicken Thenthuk is a kind of soupy noodles where the noodles are flat and made by hand. We really enjoyed these two dishes.
Then we ordered Chicken Shyaphale and Chicken Lollipop. truly speaking we didn't like the taste of both the dishes. Chicken Shyaphale was half cooked and Chicken Lollipop was bland. Since the food was not upto the mark we didn't cover it in our video.

After seeing the soup it looks like real Tibetan MOMO. The only thing missing is salad. Tomatoes, onion and cucumber are typically used when we make MOMO at home.

@@FoodieRobin yes sir I watched that episode ,what I meant to say is that street food whether its momos or any other food items served at the plain areas are far better ,reasonable compared to the food one gets at the restaurants in gangtok.....Even the street food in gangtok is not upto the mark compared to the street food one gets in the plains and in gangtok when it comes to street food there is very limited options and less food items
