Hi, I've been such a HUGE fan of Ilia this year! I was already wearing their Super Serum skin tint earlier this year. I definitely took advantage of their holiday sale. First and foremost I love love love their Sunrise holiday set - full size gel eyeliner and multi stick and mini size of mascara and lip oil. It was even more awesome that it came with a mini size GWP - their liquid to powder chromatic eye tint in Fresco. Last but not least I pulled the trigger on their tinted lip conditioner (shade Bang Bang). So I would say aside from my eyebrow pencil (Eco Brow) my everyday look has been dominated by Ilia :D :D :D

I would have to say that the concealer is the best I've tried on my 57 yr old eyes, I have very dark under eyes. Covers some and isn't goopy or cakey, blends out beautifully with a beauty blender. Mascara is nice but does flake a bit on me by the end of the day. The nude palette is lovely as well, best clean shadows IMHO. The illuminating stick is great for a subtle highlight. Just thought I'd review as an older person. Thanks for the video ❣

@@RememberTheLord Hi, here it is. Kosas dream beam for sunscreen and primer. A little Merit stick concealer where needed. Ysl or guerlain concealer for under eyes. Lys brow gel. Ilia liquid eye shadow. Lawless eye shadow palette, carmine free one.. Valentino mascara. Lawless lip liner. Ilia tinted lip balm. Makeup forever contour powder. Dior blush in charnelle. Kosas powder if needed. Obviously not all are clean but carmine free which is my biggest concern especially near orifices. Have a great day 💗 ps. Im 60 now😉

I have oily combination skin and I do use the Ilia skin tint! It depends on the climate of your city. When I lived in dry Colorado, it was perfect cause with my oily skin I apply lots of salicylic acid, so the dry patches I have are alot. It was hydrating. I also wore it in Florida for a whole hot day in Universal studios and it stayed on REALLY WELL

Great video. I enjoyed the different complexion products on each side. I’m shocked you didn’t use or mention the Fade Into You (I think that’s the name) loose setting powder. It’s my holy grail and I’m sad they were sold out during the sale.... I’m getting low!! It is so special. It blurs but without taking away all luminosity. I have the shade Balos in the Skin Tint but was going to pick up your shade to mix in, as the Balos is a smidge light for the summer. I love it. I also love the Serum Foundation, the multi-stick blush, mascara and concealer (though I need the next lightest for my under-eyes).

For the dry skin flare-ups most of them are an inner sign of a hormonal imbalance, if you eliminate foods that are inflammatory like gluten dairy and sugar your skin will most likely heal within a few short days ❤️ ps love the review video

I’ve never heard of this. I would love more info. Is there anyone on KZbin with a video title you’d recommend for someone to learn about the connection between hormones and dry skin? I even have dry flakey eyelids 😢
@Rootscogoogleads Жыл бұрын
@@RememberTheLord oh girl there's soooo much Dr Mark Hyman is one of my favorites on hormones with the dry skin that was me when I was like 14-28ish there were so many little things I never connected the dots on very dry skin, fatigue or being tired all the time, ridges in my fingernails, etc as a teen but I'd treat them all separately not knowing they were connected. First thing I would do is look up the signs and symptoms for hormonal imbalance and see how many of the checklist do you have. If it's just dry skin, it could be just a lot of inflammation from the different foods that could remedy the situation. But anytime you see little things like this on the outside it's kind of like a check engine light. Your body's trying to tell you something inside is off. Maybe your hormones. Maybe your gut.... (Those two are most commonly the issue) but hopefully that helps 😘

I wish I liked Ilia more - I actually have a lot of their products from before the brand started kind of rebranding, like I have the old vivid foundation and several of the discontinued lipsticks - but I feel like since they redid everything to be more mainstream-friendly the products aren't as nice for me. I specifically liked the old foundation because it didn't have dimethicone and that's actually one of the main reasons the True Skin one is so smoothing. I also feel like since they started rebranding, their cheek and lip products have leaned VERY warm, whereas they had more cool colors before (rip the Dracula-themed lipstick - Lucy's Kiss and Madam Mina don't have any dupes in their new lipstick line, no matter what they say on social media). I get that warm colors are more popular now, but not everyone has warm undertones and this is a bias all the main green beauty brands have which is so frustrating. That said I do think the multistick is the best cream blush in the industry and they have one of the only good mascaras in the entire world. I also love the brow gel. And the tinted lip conditioners are lovely. I'm so glad they did not discontinue those when they did almost everything else.
@sarahpalmyra4 жыл бұрын
Oh this is super interesting! I didn’t try the brand before they went mainstream sadly, so I wouldn’t know. I do appreciate that they have an entire section on their website about how their silicones and synthetics are designed safely-my skin hasn’t had a problem with silicones luckily so far. Yes! Loving their mascara! Hopefully they’ll come out with new products that remind you of their OG days. 💗
@rosereddened4 жыл бұрын
@@sarahpalmyra Hopefully! I have seen that on the site, but I never really trust brands that say their take on an ingredient is different. I am glad they still have some of my original favorites, I just wish Madam Mina was still around because it was such an unusual shade, and I liked that lipstick formula more than the current one. I've seen other people tell them they miss that shade on social media so maybe one day they'll rerelease it.

This is great-I love ilia and this look is gorgeous! I got 3 products in the old packaging (I’m nostalgic plus it’s cheaper): the multi stick in tenderly, the tinted lip conditioner in little sister, and the multi matte pigment in before today. If anyone’s looking for an unintimidating red lip, the tinted lip conditioner in Arabian Knights is so pretty (looks WAY darker in the tube). Also, the eye primer is really nice and works well. omg good question and I'm so sorry I didn't address that because I didn't think of it! This video isn't sponsored---it has my name on it because I got it in gratis when I worked at Sephora. I totally understand your frustration--have you tried applying the foundation after a layer of translucent powder? This can really help the finish not look so "oily." I also recommend a mattifying primer. You can also mix it in with a more matte foundation to create your own customized finish. Hope that helps! 🥰

I thought most companies use nano zinc oxide for spf in their formulations..?

I'm watching YT reviews, trying to get a feel for their spf serum COLORS. Sadly, you haven't mentioned the color you've reviewed :/ Maybe you've mentioned below on your links. I'll take a look there.

I can't stand the feel of cosmetics on my face. I prefer silky lightweight products. Does this foundation feel tacky on the skin?

Tried the Iliya Multistick in All of Me because I wanted that color. Formula (for that color) is TERRIBLE. Practically nothing came off on my finger, had to apply 4-5 times to see anything. Nothing came off on a brush either. Next day I dabbed it straight from the stick. Did not blend well at all and it was sticky and tacky all day long. Took it back to Sephora.

I totally get that. They’re definitely not very pigmented and I see them more as products for people who are into a no makeup look and are scared of blush, but I agree-the multi pigment liquid are so much better!

@@sarahpalmyra It's not just that they are less pigmented, the formula (unless you have a ton of oil-based product under them) simply doesn't blend well and is quite tacky. I guess I'm spoiled by Kjaer Weiss products which go on and blend beautifully. Also found the multi stick faded by 50% after 3-4 hours. Iliya just needs to go back to the lab because I think they can do better.

Commander Joy I haven’t tried Kjaer Weiss but I’ve been so tempted! I may have to check those out 👀
