ok, 2 things that ash always does during a gym battle. 1 he always ends with a 1 v 1. and 2, he fights with no smart strats and is Very inconsistent with his moves. ash does not spam thunderbolt because it will kill in two hits, he goes thunderbolt, quick attack, multiple iron tails, dodges and THEN finishes with thunderbolt

Personally rather than what he's used before I would have gone with the usual tropes he gets and tried to win that way. Pikachu: duh Starter: on average he gets the fire one most but really any would be fine Regional bird: kilowatrel would work Something stupid looking but still cool cause of a personality: I'd say orthworm Something really cool looking that's agreed upon by most: I think ceruledge or lokix would go well Something to swim with: palafin Obviously harder cause no way to prove he'd get these and a few different mons fit and obviously I loved it either way but just personally would find this kind of challenge a bit better
