Since you’re trying new things I wanna see you try a perm rod set or flexirod set
@adi-qf2wb5 жыл бұрын
you really aint had to do so many twists sis, i thought your twists were the one you started the vid off with. Plus with twist out you can wear your twists for a week then wear the thwist out another week. Way easier than wash n goes for me edit: also the reason you lost your definition is that to get your volume you jumed to picking out the length of the twists, try separating where your hair naturally separates as much as you can , then if its not enough pick out the roots.

If you want definition, try a three strand twist out. It's not a braid or plait, it's a twist done with 3 strands. Look it up on KZbin

I’m just the opposite and all I do is twist outs, I just hate the dry time for wash and go’s, I’m still trying to find the best method to dry my hair. With twist outs, I can air dry with no problems, but I’ve noticed that I get more definition in my twist outs if I don’t detangle with a tool before twisting. I do a wash n go type smoothing of the product and a little finger detangling then twist. I reserve all my tool detangling for the shower. I love to use twisting butters as well, but depending on the effect I want, using gel or a custard does give more definition. Maybe those two things will help!
@elderberryjamz36545 жыл бұрын
I did the same thing with my twist-outs as far as detangling goes. Once I began applying my stylers I’d only use my fingers and would do basically the same finger-raking technique as when I’d do a wash&go.
@zarisundiata62095 жыл бұрын
Elderberry Jamz Yep, that helps a lot!
@antoinettechevalier24535 жыл бұрын
Yep -- that's how I do it too: no tools after the shampoo/conditioner/detangling portion of the shower ordeal. I use my fingers/hands to work in styling products and then twist-out or braid-out. Also agree that it's really the gel that gives the definition (and lasting power!) when it comes to a twist out.
@carmenmendez21285 жыл бұрын
Try less separating! All I do are twist outs and you have to accept that you gotta sacrifice the volume on day one for the definition. Volume will come through out the week

You should redo this with bigger sections. Work on this hair and use only finger detangling to reset the new twists. When I first went natural I’d do smaller twists on wash day after applying my leave-in too allow my hair to dry quicker without get tangled and leave it until the next day. I’d wear the unraveled twist out for my work day then reset them into the actually twist-out I wanted when I got home. It provides a more workable base if you haven’t mastered your twist-out yet. Some might think I’m wild but I don’t leave my twists in for more than 12hrs before I unravel and separate. I think the hair comes out with more volume and is less stiff that way.
@adanjaa86915 жыл бұрын
I love you hair😍but personally, whenever i want definition in a twistout I use a little of a gel that doesn’t give me max definition in wash & gos, for example eco styler. It doesn’t do anything right except give me definition in twist outs.
@pynkstarr5 жыл бұрын
Twist outs and braid outs and bantu knots are the only styles my hair can do. The arm strength of twisting your hair then untwisting it the next day....then to retwist it every day is a struggle. Not necessary, but my hair doesn’t do 3-4 day hair. Im lucky if I can get 2 days. So i knowww the feeling. If I could just wash and go about my day it would be set. It came out good tho...maybe the picking it part did it. I mean idk but I liked the way it look. I hope you do my twist outs and show a bunch of diff products. Thanks!

Doing a 3 strand twist out will give you good results with having to do way to many twists. Plus you didn't separate the twist before picking out your hair. My tip is to do your hair like a wash n go. Meaning finger detangle the section with out a bush and then twist the section.

I'm not a big fan of two strand twist outs to be honest, but three strand twist outs have your hair popping. Next time try three strand twist on wet hair with some kind of holding gel (or, like i do, a holding mousse) over your normal moisturizing routine and do them in like eight big twist on each side of your head and just separate the twist for volume once you take them down. I think you'll love those results.

Girl! It came out pretty, but if I’m frank I don’t think it’s worth the effort. Your hair is more bomb with the wash n go, which takes a fraction of the time. The only advantage I could see is if the twist out can last like 2 weeks or something. I don’t do braid or twist outs because they take too long and my curl pattern looks way better I feel on its own than being manipulated by the twists or braids.

That's all I do is twist outs and 3 strands bc a wash and go will have my hair broke off with all them evil fairy knots. No ma'am press ham. For definition I use camille rose gel or on the cheaper end shea moisture styling souffle. Argan styling gel works too and it's a dollar. Just a little bit goes a long way. I like my twist outs soft, big and moisturized.
