Fists are actually good in this game, I always use fists on boss battles for the extra stun damage, paired with Lundas armor they are insane

I also did the fists only but on the normal difficulty. The ABSOLUTE FUNNEST EXPERIENCE EVER! It’s like playing as the GoW he truly is, the Thor fight was pure ecstasy. I might try the Give Me God of War difficulty but I would probably shrivel up and die before I reach the end of the ultra hard Freya boss fight

Yea going from GoW4 to GoW5 feels like some downgrade…maybe it’s because I thoroughly enjoyed it in GoW4…i get fimbulwinter wears down things but that explains everything but the lack of barehanded combat…also barehand finishers are gone too which sucks, again I’m only sure this hits harder since i loved it but ain’t no way GoW5 > GoW4 in my eyes…also I can’t tell if Spartan Rage got better or worse

Fun fact: if you ever wonder why Thors wound in the beginning fight of the game (where you slam your axe in his gut) never heals, in the first game when you throw you axe into the water of the World Serpent, he spits it back and the game says “Einar added.” Einar means poison, and in Norse mythology when Thor kills the world serpent he dies from its poison in 9 paces. The World Serpent puts poison on your axe that Thor cannot heal from! That’s why his wound never heals.
