16:14 just stand on the on/off switch, hit one of the POW blocks to make the coins fall, dodge the falling coins from above, then use the other POW block to go under to hit the on/off switch

There are actually some more levels which you can beat: Job 18 8:22 You can get past the second part without collecting a coin. At 8:45 you need to jump to wall left of you and do a wall jump to get to the right of the coins above you. Job 26 10:34 you need to damage boost and then jump around the coins at 10:49. Job 33 12:36 You need to grab a spring and jump over the coins at 12:41 then throw the spring up to activate the on off switches. Do the same thing at 12:48 and you will just have enough time to finish. Job 64 21:03 Get the mushroom in the second section and jump on the shorter snake block 21:15 as late as possible. Then you need to do air stalling just before the part with the coins, then take damage so you can run underneath the coins and jump on the short snake block again. Job 65 21:29 Break the blocks next to the pow blocks, grab them and stack them on the right question block. You're then able to jump over the purple blocks. Job 87 26:51 Stack as much boxes as possible on the left side of the screen at 26:58 so you can jump on top and skip the section. In the end you can climb up the left wall with the cat suit and make a jump from an offscreen platform. Job 88 27:14 There is a thwomp you can spin on right before the checkpoint to get on top of the ice roof and get past the coins. So we have a total of 51 levels which are possible. I don't want to offend nico with this comment. Sorry if I spelled anything wrong. Edit: Now i wasted half an hour just to write this comment. Oof

This was my first ever coinless challenge I've attempted, and I had a lot of fun. I didn't realize that levels 7 and 66 were possible, but I was able to complete 26 and 43 coinless. In level 26, you can damage boost onto the spikes, and then jump to the left to gain enough height to clear the coins. In level 43, you can hit one of the pow blocks to get rid of the coins, and later in the level requires you to do a p-switch jump in order to turn some coins into blocks. But great job nico :)

Couple more levels that you can actually beat: - 18 (the winter tree one). You can dodge between all the coins in the subworld as well. - 26 (low gravity smb1). Damage boost and instead of going under, go over and do some controlled jumps off of the next koopas. - 43 (dark smb1) if you stand perfectly in the middle of the on/off block you can hit the pow from below and drop the coins so you can proceed. There's another section with coins over platforms but you can p-switch jump off the p-switch on tracks and the coins turn to blocks. - 64 (blue snake block parkour). when you get to the sub-area pick up the mushroom. Activate the highest snake block as late as possible. Jump up and gp cancel down. Damage boost under the coins and then jump back onto the snake block. - 36 (on/off switches and upside-down through the pipes). You can jump between the skewers at the start but at the end of the level you have to hit invisible blocks anyway

I actually tried this back in August, except as an actual run from New game to finishing constructing Peach's castle (the rule being that I was allowed to use the coins I got as payment for the jobs, but not the ones I got from the flagpoles). Using Assist Blocks, I could beat every single level I came accross except for underground coin collection and I actually thought I was making headway until I hit the wall. I didn't have enough coins to build main hall 2F, and the only available job was Underground Coin Collecting which meant the run was dead.

26:51 Is it possible to beat #87 without smashing blocks and forcing yourself to collect tons of coins? The ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuules are simple. We are going to beat the level "Bing Bang Boom in Bully Castle" in Super Mario Maker 2 without breaking boxes and getting coins. As you can see, all of those things have coins, so you will have to smash them to reach the exit. This will force you to collect lots of coins. Next to this bully, throw one of these to it to then do a spin on top of the tower to go above and cheat the level. Next step: we have to use the boat to make it to the top of Bully’s Tower. You need a cat suit in order to climb on the side of the semi solids. Dodging the glasses shapes of coins while using the breaking boat is insanely difficult. Once this semi with tons of coins is clear, make sure you have a cat suit to climb on the top part of the fort to dive down and land on the Bully, or else you'll touch the stairs full of deadly yellow things!

In job 85 you can use Luigi's blocks after passing by the thwomp and immediately pressing Parts to add hard blocks right before the thwomp reaches the ground if you fast enough and it won't hit the ? Blocks so by technicalities, it is possible to beat job 85 without coins, just you need Luigi's assist parts to do so.
