Better Than Adventure wasn't made for how Minecraft will be like if it took a different development path. It's made for Beta 1.7.3, this version is known for the golden age of Minecraft just before the most controversial update which is Beta 1.8.1 where they added the Hunger bar. This one was made for the purpose of simplicity just like Beta 1.7.3. Not many complex and complicated stuff.

it was in the last beta version before the release - 1.8. This mod is based around 1.7.3, which was the last "Golden Age" version of minecraft. It lacked the hunger bar and sprint

their upcoming take on updated nether is low-key so much interesting for me. I've seen development screenshots and they're awesome. Not to mention the fact there's a special level underneath the nether that'll have some cool stuff in it like molten metals in the future

Ive played since Beta, and while mods like this are fun, I genuinely think modern minecraft is just a far better game. I really do think a lot of people are just blinded by nostalgia, cause stuff like those old textures for example are BAD
