Upon receiving many requests of showing 'how much do samoyeds shed?' I have decided to brush just one of Wooyoo's rear legs while she is shedding!

I have one but trust me it's HARD to have one not just the hair being everywhere they also need alot of intention and u have to vacuume ur house mostly everyday but then it just becomes a daily routine and just saying ur ready is funny just honest and I'm not trying to be mean ok but all I'm saying is that it's hard to having one😑

😂 Too true. There are people that keep 2-3 Sammies, and store all of the undercoat that they brush out in spring and fall. They make wool out of it! And then knit beautiful, super soft, super insulating items of clothing and accessories. 😅 It's not efficient, like keeping sheep, but if you have Sammies, anyway... Why not?

LittleMaliceManny the fur is so warm that you could only wear clothing made from it if you live in Antarctica. I have a friend that made a pair of socks with her samoyed’s fur, and even living in Maine it never got cold enough to wear them. The only thing it worked kind of well on was earmuffs. She finally just made a sweater with the image of the dog on the front made from the fur- it was the only way we could wear the fur lol.

@@Boredchinchilla Aww, haha! A sweater with embroidery with the dogs on it (or something similar) sounds like a perfect idea! And their undercoat is so flawlessly white that it doesn't even need to be treated. I'll probably have someone stick their hand through my screen to slap me for saying this, but: it's almost too bad Sammies don't shed more. 😂 It does take a long time to store up enough, especially for larger items, though! But it's just so soft and warm. 😍 Totally worth it, if you love having the dogs, anyway. 😊

LittleMaliceManny the socks were so beautiful- perfectly marshmallow white and so soft ( I have chinchillas as pets and samoyed floof is a close second in softness). We took turns putting them on with just long underwear and a hat and walked around in the snow (with waterproof boots on- there was 4ft of snow). Your feet would be sweaty by the time you came back in a few minutes later. I loved the sweater with the dog pic on it though, and she even made my dad socks with little beer mugs on them and used dog fur as the head on the beer.

If you have a dog with a double coat like this beautiful Samoyed, Petsmart has a service called Furminator. I take my Shiba twice a year and they really get it all. Not very expensive and doesn't seem hard on my dog at all. She comes home about 20% smaller though lol.

Yeah a lot of people cut their hair but that takes about 5 hours and sometimes ever more and it never really works that well it is till impossible to take care of which is why I only wash him and don't care for his hair, I applaud this man for having the time to do this
