I tried Bus 167 with the Reduced Freqency: Will I be the Only Passenger?

Here is another video on the controversial bus 167 in Singapore, this time I go for a ride after the service frequency has been reduced to a bus every 30 minutes. What will happen?
Service 167 was originally slated for withdrawal in December 2023, however due to a public outcry, the decision was amended to reduce the frequency of 167 instead of withdrawing it entirely.. for now.

Mandai should operate yishun feeders, 851, and 852 963 and 966 doesn’t go to s’wang and yishun so should stay SMRT 73 can try Seletar if possible

8:38 You would think TT would go out of their way to modify the announcements. Maybe the Transit Systems empire elsewhere is growing so rapidly, they can't keep up with the new business areas and the bus fleet they have taken over from new contracts. Also, I think LTA's plan is working - this service might not last 6 months once the ridership drops noticeably.

Well they said it would run at a reduced frequency "for now" so I believe at some point it will be withdrawn. No comment for the announcements tho 🤔

I so far had only taken return trips to sbw aft the cutdown on frequency. It seems most demand demand is usually on return trip during peak hrs. Maybe to be objective, u can ride 167 during peak hrs to compare. And i do wonder abt the demand between cbd and bukit merah

Would say that 980 do go same route as 167 until novena that where some passenger would change to different bus svcs to their destation and happy new year when this video released

This bus service will eventually be cancelled with this kind of ridership. As more ppl dun wan to wait 30 mins for the bus, less ppl will take 167 and more ppl will turn towards other modes of transport
