Become a nomad in 3 months: calendly.com/a... My one month experience of selling digital downloads on Etsy. Will be posting more videos on digital nomading and entrepreneurship: Subscribe : shorturl.at/mEGR8
First I tried selling my own artwork, then I tried using print on demand to make t-shirts, as well as selling midjourney prompts. Unfortunately, none of these worked for me. I made two sales in the end from a friend.
Follow me to see what progress I make and where I go in my digital nomad journey!

Hi Angel. If you want to be successful on Etsy, 100 listing should be the minimum. There is a guy called Nick who has a KZbin channel called Etsy Consultant, he's probably got the best channel to show you how to make money on Etsy. I'll be opening a digital art Etsy shop soon and with watching his videos, i'll be able to have a better start than most people starting out on Etsy because of all the knowledge i have learned from him. I'm challenging you now to put 200 listing on your Etsy shop and when you do, i want you to do a KZbin video showing how many sales you are making.

That guy is one of the worst of the worst Etsy gurus here on KZbin and you're promoting him?! 😂

I'm really thankful you posted and shared. Your logic and reasoning make a lot of sense. I really appreciate that you just kinda took us along for 'the ride' and the thought process. Its really helpful for me as I'm learning how to succeed in this space.

It's not the products or SEO or listing images like what Etsy gurus or others say. None of that. Etsy's algorithm segments the customers on Etsy based on their frequency of buying: people who buy a lot, people who but occasionally and people who only favorite and don't buy anything. They show the first group only to a few handpicked stores in each sub-niche, and these are the stores that do very well. Typically, these "chosen" stores would have 2-3 products on Etsy with viral sales. You can run ads all you want but it's not gonna change anything.

From all the videos I've seen on Etsy, it looks like they drag you out for about 4 months to see if you continue to improve your store and/or keep adding more listings before they expose you to more buyers. Maybe they drag you to get you to buy ads from them.

What a great video. it's really interesting to see the counterpoint all the get rich quick videos. Keep doing what you do and you'll find something that works soon.

Hey Angel! Etsy is a long game. I opened my POD poster store three weeks ago and I've uploaded 99 listings since then. Still no sales, but I always heard that you shouldn't expect any organic sales for the first 2 or 3 months after opening your store so this is fine for me. It's all about one's mindset and expectations as well as doing research throughout. I have 2,000+ more artworks to post on Etsy, and that's not to mention the variations that'll come in the future (not just posters, but t-shirts, mugs, and so much more!) - so I know I will get sales eventually. It's just about timing, sales will start to happen at the right time :)

Thanks for the tip. I also been thinking that it’s a numbers game. But I just don’t know if I have time to post 2000+ variations haha but it might be worth in in the long run! Good luck on your Etsy journey ! 💛

@@Angelnomad I definitely get that, not many have the patience for 2000+ variations, but after trying out different career options, I figured out that art is definitely my calling at this stage of my life (I'm 28), so that's why I'm going hard on listings. Etsy is part of a bigger plan. Good luck too!

The competition on the platform is just too high dear. Maybe as a starter we need to do an extraordinary level of research to make our products visible to buyers on Etsy.

Yeah I agree, it's too saturated but if you find a specific niche that has low competition then it could work!

171st...Thanks for giving this honest review. I came across your video because I have been searching for Etsy reviews. I came across one YT review that one store did not have any sells until after a year. Yes, I know, very tough.

Sorry, but expecting big sales in 30 days is not realistic. Nor would it be in a brick and mortar store. I’m in month 6 and it is still trial and error. Keep at it!

The sad truth is that you set yourself up for failure with this experiment. Uploading 2-3 of each product types with 0 marketing, what did you expect? Sales? Because if you were, it was unrealistic expectations and perhaps subpar research on your part. Any serious research would have told you that you need a lot more effort to gain momentum as a new seller. More products (a lot more), more marketing, more time...
