The reason M&S got angrier at Aldi than the other supermarkets wasn't just the similarity, even thought it was REALLY similar, was the price because all these copies are at a similar £6-£7 price point whereas, being Aldi's own brand, the Cuthbert Caterpillar cake was quite a bit cheaper at £4.99. So it was the decrease in price for what looked like the same product which was the reason for the lawsuit I think.
