Thanks for the list! I'm from LA but moved to the SF bay area so I'll be hitting the spots when I go back to visit family. You should do a SF version. The matcha here is generally better, I love Maiko, Asha, Izumi, and Stonemill (reopening). I personally don't like oversweet matcha lattes that plagues most LA places. It's hard considering most vegan milks are already sweetened, but these places satisfy my "not too sweet" and strong matcha flavor requirements very nicely ❤

The Damo strawberry matcha is so good, I just wish it wasn’t so far so I can get it again. But I’m also curious about your opinion on mandarin coffee stand matcha and kumquats matcha.

I have! I didn't love the matcha they used or the preparation. Lots of clumps in my experience but, that was at Hollywood location on day one of opening so maybe a bad day!

Check out Bodhi Leaf Coffee Traders in Santa Clarita and Orange County! Very strong rich ceremonial matcha from Mizuba Matcha, and a huge variety of plant milk options including Macadamia! I pay a dollar more for double matcha and it’s the best I’ve tried anywhere, better even than Alfred’s and Chit Chat for lattes!
