I can see why infer doesnt like people hating on gpo. Its a good game, but the problem isn't how the good the game is, its that the updates are once every 6 months and rarely add anything to actually prolong the games lifetime, just a couple of fruits and a bunch of weapons and armor to mindlessly grind for.

the reason the gauntlet guy was able to mash out of ur pipe beatdown is bc his m1 speed is faster. every weapon has a different m1 speed and depending on the weapon u can just mash outta of some moves. if he had a kirabachi or some other heavy weapon he wouldnt be able to do tht

people hate on the game because its a grindy bandit beater with a bad endgame and sucky update schedule. i dont think people should be constantly telling a developer that no matter what they do their game wont be revived/become good, but in all honesty the game and phoeyu kind of deserve some of the criticsm (especially since phoeyu is the main reason the game's update schedule is so poor and it's so bad in the first place). its not like its impossible to have fun in the game, especially if ur done grinding, but u really wont have fun for that long, so thats why people only come back for an update and then just stop playing. it used to be more fun back when it got quicker updates and was fresher, but its always had a lot of the same problems.

​@@corbanhiestand2904 whats so impatient about wanting a solid update schedule? it would be one thing if all the updates took like 6 months to come out but were consistent with lots of content, but this man phoeyu leaves for a random amount of time (usually over 6 months id add) just for the update to bring like 1-2 islands, some new unoriginal fighting style/devil fruit to grind ur ass off for, and maybe some solid quality of life stuff (or a gamemode that either is just bad or ruined by poor anti cheat). even if u think all that stuff is good, it still shouldnt take that long to come out; most dev teams could pull that off in a month easily. its not a lack of patience, its wanting consistency.

i still think making legendary fruits the prize in BR was a terrible idea....The main reason why I loved GPO was that the fruits were rare to get, similar to one piece. It gave a sense of purpose to the rarities too, like the excitement you would get when you would get a rare fruit just isn't there anymore. BR's prize kinda ruined the game for me (not to mention the BR sweats and hackers)

Mythical fruits are about as hard to get as old legendary fruits. Rare and even epic fruits are quite simply ass, legendary fruits are much better for farming and with them being more easily accessible you are able to finish the level grind much easier. I’d say a solid half the fruits in the game are legendary at this point, legendary fruits being rare worked when there were less of them but having half the content in the game being locked behind chance is not good game design.

i think that some of the hate is warranted in a way because first off like you said people are tired of the boss farming even if it was here since the beginning it got worse, i mean you're telling me waiting 2 hours for a boss for a 0.5% chance to get a weapon is not crazy ? and i also think that people are hating because all of the major problems of the game are still here and got made even worse and i'm not only talking about the boss farming, i'm talking about the pay 2 win i'm talking about the unbalanced pvp and overall it just seems like phoeyu is not taking any suggestion

The update is pretty cool, if you actually get to experience it. There's no new BR content other than the 2 new weapons and fruit, so players with nothing get nothing new from the battlepass, and there's no new map. The new fruit itself is locked behind the mythical rarity so the chances of getting that are dummy low too. The worst part of this is that the new weapons are locked behind bosses that spawn every 2 hours with a 0.5 chance drop rate. Finally, the new fighting style is locked behind a stupidly rare item. This item is also locked behind a boss that also has a dummy long spawnrate like the rest. Couple this with a PERCENT CHANCE of it even being the right boss. Now what is the percent chance of getting this item? ONE PERCENT. This game's updates give NO new content to players who arent super rich or lucky, and they are forced to grind bosses that barely spawn with abysmal rates. This game is at least enjoyable to watch, and the only part worth playing for me is BR due to it's replayability value and access to the update, even if it is temporary.
