16:30 after 10 months this guy still goes for the squish. yes this was the dva with 7 squishes in 1 game Edit: not saying he shouldn't do it, but in the previous video, that guy did it so much to the point the remech was the ult instead of the bomb, so it's hilarious for me to see that he still did it successfully

i just wanna say, emongg has realy helped me climb in ranks with videos like these. im a pretty casual player so i learn towards support (lw, brig, moira mostly) but i like to try out tank every so often. ive been playing since launch since i was a kid but i still really struggle sometimes with my aim and reaction time bc of a disorder i have so it holds me back a bit, ive p much been plat my entire life lol but the way emongg teaches people and supports young players makes comp actually seem fun for me when i can use new information ive learned to get better. tysm emongg for doing the unthinkable lol, it always feels great to move up in ranks knowing ive learned things instead of just playing TO rank up. much love from ireland!!

I'm around this guys rank (which made it so easy to guess btw) so I'm not laiming to be better than them but I have played Dva so much that this was kinda frustrating. I know its scary to leave your team and go for some flanking action; creating weird angles and stuff like that. But Dva has great mobility and in gold i rarely see that being taken advantage of. That contest was pretty cool though. With a bit of luck they could have even gotten the re-mech (squish baby!).

end of first round i was pretty sure they'd reached high silver / low gold; by the end of second, i was convinced they were gold 5 - gold 4. i wasn't expecting to be spot on lmfao massive improvement, but the thing that irked me most was the delayed reactions to everything rein did; you really gotta work on paying attention to the tells... when rein drops his shield, expect a firestrike. there were at least three firestrikes i saw that you could EASILY have eaten if you'd been paying attention, but you were just barely too slow. dva's biggest job is to anticipate major burst damage and deny that, particularly things like firestrike; focus on that, and taking high ground more often, and you'll get to plat no problem.

I'd like his advice in my gameplay but it's not really specials as this. I don't really play Comp but recently i did my placements these season. I landed on Gold on support with 8/10 wins. I unfortunately disabled my match text because I have anxiety and tend to lose motivation to play when someone is toxic. Plus I tend to overthink as well. I main Lifeweaver but chose Moira for Comp, sometimes other healers (mercy, Bap, Kirkio) Note- Lifeweaver made me play overwatch again after a year long hiatus, he is just fun to play.

There honestly isn't such a thing as a wrong tank just bad decisions. Yeah sure Zarya can high charge beam through Dvas matrix but on Dva you don't 1v1 the tank. Zarya can't match your mobility so just feast on the enemy backline.

knowing all the strengths and weaknesses of the heroes and the various match ups comes with time. there's so much interplay and counterplay with all the heroes. the most important thing is just understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the heroes you play. that's where you start. if you play dva, for example, you should know that dva's mobility is one of her strengths (especially vertical mobility which most tanks don't have!) so you should use it to fly around, not just stand in one spot staring at the enemy team. one of her weaknesses is that she doesn't have a shield, so you can't sit in the open and let a shield soak up damage. you have DM but DM will run out fast if you try to use it as a substitute for a shield. instead, you have to use mobility to make up for that lack of shield. in the overwhelming majority of ranks, what matters is your individual competence on the hero, not the hero pick itself.

@@TraumaQueen65 of course! up until this season, I was a hardcore mercy main (essentially one trick) so I know what it's like to be told you're picking the wrong hero lol when Moira first came out, people would flame me, even my own friends would occasionally bug me about swapping to Moira, and it was so annoying because I just wanted to play Mercy! she's the most fun to me lol. so play whatever you want!!! you can be successful on any hero at any rank
