There's a lot of guys playing these games lately. Came out a few days ago this studio's other game, Love and Deepspace, 35% of its Japanese players are men. Similar numbers for China and US, the guys just skip the dating part unless it's to build up stats.

Fun fact about Nikki, its actually well know by its fanbase that its story will be a bit unhinged sometimes. For example, in Love Nikki, the reason why people in Miraland solve everything with fashion battle was because there's blood curse in the land that prohibit hurting someone, because you will experience the same pain whenever you give physical pain to others. But then, one of the vilaiin managed to bypass this curse and stabbed Nikki BFF in fromt of her, and she died in Nikki lap. Or in Shining Nikki where Nikki failed to save Love Nikki's Miraland for 108 times, until she stumbled into Miraland's past before blood curse. She got a handgun and almost managed to kill someone with it.

I can't express how happy it makes me to see so many people from different demographics not only give Infinity Nikki a try but genuinely enjoying it, the Nikki game series has been around for a while to provide mobile games for the girlies (not limited to them of course but it is their targetted player base) and its so nice that with this game being open world and on console PC and mobile many more are discovering the joy that Nikki gives so many players! Idk just warms my heart especially when the gaming space still has a lot of issue with women in general, a game like this making the rounds positively is a big win
