I bought eclair for $50 and was disappointed. Not only was my bottle scratched, the cap was discolored and it leaks. The scent smells very dense & cheap which makes it suffocating, whereas Bianco latte has a lot of lift which keeps it airy & light. I told myself I’ve never waste money trying to dupe a fragrance I actually love. For a little more than $100 more I could’ve just waited and got the real deal.

TJ, you explained my frustration with dupes to perfection. The ones I've tried never quite Mirror the original. For that reason, I decided to save up my coins and spend them on a scent I truly enjoy and not tolerate. All these Middle Eastern dupes almost turned me off Middle Eastern scents until I visited Dubai last month. That's where I'll be purchasing my Middle Eastern scent s from. I'm so over these dupes.

I layered lataafa ( pink bottle) with Mont Blanc! Game changer honey. However l won’t reorder either because I’m really not a layering girl so l usually go for the higher end fragrances which on my skin usually last forever! I would suggest Joe Malone vanilla & Vetiver or if we a budgeting just purchase Kay Ali 28 and be done with it!!!!

I resonate with this review so much. I love how you keep it real when you're not loving something. Eclaire and Bianco Latte have been hyped so much on social media. I've never smelled the OG but had to have Eclaire based on all the hype. I bought it expecting a gourmand caramel dream... cut to getting it, and I physically recoiled at the smell. It reminded me of a cheap vanilla caramel/candle or one of those cheap, seasonal gingerbread lotions where you can smell the plastic/chemicals under the gingerbread. I sprayed it on, went into the grocery store, and was scurrying past people because I was so self conscious about the smell and worried it would nauseate people. I understand fragrances are subjective and skin chemistry makes a big difference so take my opinion with a grain of salt as it is my own, but to this day I scratch my head when I hear reviewers rave about this (or Bianco Latte) in their top 10. Its nice to hear I'm not the only person not completely fawning over it.

@dominikabow I had the exact same experience as you. I had such high expectations for Eclaire, but in the end was disappointed. On my skin it smells synthetic and like sweet chemicals. 😭

Definitely Blanche Bette and Bianco Latte are in the same “family.” It’s like any other scent profile - it has to be one you enjoy and clearly this type is not it for you, but you have a great review!!! The whole vanilla, caramel-y Sol de Janeiro vibe is not for everyone for sure. Similarly, the BR540 profile - not for everyone even though it gets compliments. That profile I am now having aversions to when I smell it because it was everywhere and also people overspray so much.
