I think people build wrong You want dirk rush into brutalizer into lucidity boots into eclipse into sundered sky. This is a cheap ass build path that gives you the lethality you want without overspending on the actives or passives. Then when you have the 2 components + 2 full items, you're functionally at 3 items stat wise for real cheap. 2 components have near full item stats for 2337 gold, eclipse is 2800. So your core, excluding cheap AF boots should be done by 14/15 minutes assuming an econ of about 350gold/minute. So that's not even an "I won lane" type of situation, but you basically have 1.8 items when everyone else has 1.2-1.5 items making you the stronest unit on map. Sundered sky next is a bit more expensive, but given the rest of your build was this cheap, you can likely snowball from here to get it. Now the beauty of this build comes into play. You have options. If you need armor pen NOW, you can rush seryldas for cheap since you already have a component. If you need a spellshield, you can get edge of night for only 1800 gold more. If you need neither of these stats, but they will build armor in the near future and have a lot of melees, you can do cleaver here, a bit expensive, but you can afford it. If you just want more aoe dmg, you can complete the brutalizer into hydra. If you just need the ult cd for duels, you can finish axiom. If you need resistances, you can build DD, maw, whatever. Dirk and brutalizer can even be sold if required. But the power curve on this build just FEELS smooth. This can be run with a ton of runes as well, you would mostly stick to default conqueror, but you could go domination second for more lethality and item haste, you could go resolve second for more lane sustain if needed, you could do inspiration for free boots/futures market + cosmic for slightly earlier spike + small item haste. It's really flexible if you want it to be and you can always build according to the game. You get like the best of both worlds.

I love this build because you do so much more burst in team-fight. You can E-R-Flash-Q3 on to them and instantly one shot people with this build, with bruiser build they would've probably have time to flash away.

i watched it frame by frame. his cursor is just barely on her hitbox for a few frames (despite the model already being on the other side of tower). You can see his cursor is still the red sword for a few frames after she flashes.

Im pretty sure sundered sky is gonna carry rivens scaling. Like we've always had a shit ton of ad but all of the dmg is flat. Sundered sky lets us crit which is huge. It doesn't matter for the bruisers because they dont have so much dmg in their autos but riven does. Like I think riven is gonna be balanced around this item because it disproportionately affects what she wants to do. Which is kill things with empowered autos.

Issue is Sundered Sky is only a real problem when taking special interactions into account, what they should do is just recode things like Riven passive or Aatrox passive to not crit

Sundered sky gives healing crit at 175% which is less than a regular crit, + 6% Missing hp. Which can apply 5 different times if you auto each champ once. Fair enough it’s pretty strong but fairly priced at 3300 gold with 55 AD 15 AH and 300 HP Stormsurge gives 100 AP 10 Flat magic Pen and 5% MS priced at 2900 (cheaper) But the Squall passive deals 120 - 260 scaling AP + 30% AP. As well as 30 gold on a kill which is AOE. It just gave almost every mage the option to build something that gave extremely good burst + Decent snowballing potential. It is pretttttyyyy strong…

Tbh Sundered Sky is good, but it's essentially limited to getting auto attacked by a melee champ. It's like heartsteel, you don't just let them walk up on you. Stormsurge however, was so lame just getting one tapped from a screen away from some random mage 😅 if it didn't kill you it had you recalling everytime you managed to not dodge a skillshot
