I worked in Disney World and I made dole whip waaayyyy too many times. It’s a giant packet of powder mix and you add water, mix it up and there you go. It takes one minute to make, but smells SOOOO GOOD. Also the smoothies aren’t healthy at all, they come in a milk carton and it’s something like 12% juice, you pour 4 of those into a jug, add water and that’s a WDW smoothie.

The recipes Disney is "releasing" isn't THEIR official recipes. Disney states on their site that these recipes are basically fan recipes to dupe the Disney recipes that they are sharing

Dole soft serve in pineapple flavor is available on Amazon! I use 1 cup of mix to 3 cups of COLD water then I throw it in my ice cream maker. Comes out so good 👌 you can add pineapple juice for a dole whip float

The whip probably is from ice cream. Sherbet has very little milk in it. Looks yummy any way!!

A lot of places now have the same formula in their soft serve machines. They are listed as Pineapple and not Dole, but the same company makes them but without the Dole name.

We’ve made this a few times. It’s especially good with rum for an adult treat. We used a can of pineapple and a can of coconut milk with some sugar and that was it. I’ve seen some variations using some banana. If you freeze the can of coconut milk it makes it that ice cream like soft serve texture

Pineapple sherbet/ice cream is not an easy find for me so I would definitely go vanilla. If I was going to try for the swirl, I think I would fill the piping bag and stick that into the freezer to firm up a bit and chill more then pipe it. You would also need a star tip. I’ve never been to Disneyland and had never even heard of dole whip till this past year or two. I’d be curious to see the churros recipe too.

If you get Tio Pepe brand frozen churros, those are the ones they use in the parks at the stands. So I think the recipe they released is another at home version or churro bites that are found in DCA (just an assumption from memory). But I've seen cast members wheel around the box with the brand name of churros haha. I was able to find them at smart and final, they're super good. I'm curious how homemade ones with the recipe they release compare!

My daughter worked for the company that makes this powdered mix. Anything with ice cream will not be the same as Dole Whips are a non dairy product. Kent Precision Foods makes the product under the Dole name.

It a not actually unique to Disneyland, Dole sells the exact same stuff as pineapple soft serve at their plantation at Oahu. They just rebranded it for Disneyland.
