I tried Marvel Rivals for 7 days to see if it’s better than Overwatch 2.

Theory, the cpu issue isn't just a Rivals issue, several other games have this issue and it's actually a known Intel fault, they basically gave their 13th and 14th gen cpus dementia and so it's not exactly something Netease can fix I've had this issue for ages and managed to get rivals running smoothly again after updating my BIOS(something that could brick your computer if it goes wrong, but would absolutely solve your problem)

I'm not 100% sure, but I might've fixed it by turning off MCE, the game launched properly, but I haven't tried playing to see if crashes are fixed. Marvel Rivals is however basically the only game that crashes consistently aside from like CS2, so I think it's still worth mentioning!

Its not just Intel with poor performance. I use AMD and even if the game will never crash, I get frame drops in the most random moments, I use monitoring software and i observed that the game will outright refuse to use the whole capacity of my CPU and GPU.

I’ll be honest, I still play OW, I still find it fun, more fun than Rivals. OW just feels so intense and immersive sometimes.

i made a new account and DEFINITELY felt like the enemy team was full of basic bots. on top of that, you can't even check other player's profiles to confirm or deny this feeling until hitting lvl 5, by which point you've probably already forgotten about the cakewalk that was the first few matches.

overwatch isn’t fun to me from an excitement standpoint, but I haven’t found a game that comes close to it for me when it comes to competitiveness and balance, the few times a week that I play, I’m just so focused on bettering myself. Been playing rivals a bit but even now the meta is much worse than when you made the video, diamond+ is just all triple support with infinite sustain similar to goats meta so I just got to a point where I only play if friends ask me to hop on.

How recently? They acknowledged a bug in the discord in the past week that makes the mouse acceleration setting not apply. Hasn't been hotfixed yet. Might be affecting you. If you aren't sure what that does it essentially ramps up edpi as the mouse moves faster.

Just so you know, the 13th and 14th generations are considered some of the worst CPUs ever sold by Intel. They tend to overheat very quickly, and after six months, there's a high chance your CPU could be damaged. It’s reached the point where laptop manufacturers avoid using the 13th and 14th generation CPUs because of the high number of returns and service requests caused by these processors. On another note, Overwatch (OW) has become less enjoyable for many players because of its excessive focus on balancing. While it’s not a competitive game for everyone, people are bored with overly competitive games. They want fun, and this is evident in the player count. Overwatch has prioritized balance to such an extent that the heroes no longer feel heroic-they’re just balanced and boring. Sorry if I’m being a bit harsh, but I really hope the Marvel rival team doesn’t listen too much to competitive players. Instead, they should focus on the fun aspects of the game. After all, most people play for fun, not for competition.

Well the server has to run with round about 600k players so it's EXTREMELY performance demanding that plus the insane amount of CDs and players poppin up on screen and stuff it's gonna create a lot of issues! Plus the game is new and there is bound to be some server issues! Happens🤷🏽‍♂️ I gotta agree with the point that MR is not that competitive! Everything is broken so it CAN'T be very competitive! But for some biased, dumb, unreasonable MR fanboys they say stupid shit like: MR is so much MORE competitive than OW😑 Yeah, right ... Ignorant, brainless MR Player Base! There is no freaking competitiveness if abilities and ULTs are crazy as shit! At any moment one ULT can completely change the flow even though your team is better one press of Q can instantly, INSTANTLY BE that OP ability that enables a comeback killing 2-3 people! MR does however embody the HERO shooter aspect better! You feel Powerful and strong! You ARE the hero! In OW it's been balanced down so much that YOU don't feel like a hero anymore! For tournament environment and ranked it's good but for casuals, beginners, fun OW is meeh!!!
