The Panerai Luminor Marina Quaranta 40mm is a great watch. I picked up the black dial version (PAM01372) earlier in the year and I love it. It's distinctly Panerai. No one will mistaken it for something else. I have relatively thin wrists (6.5") and this watch fits surprisingly well on the straps. I would highly recommend it to diversify any watch collection. Pre-owned ones are available on the market, so you can save a few $$ going that route.

I have built several Seiko Mods based on the Panerai Luminor. Those watches have received the most compliments (from both watch people and non-watch people). The design of the Luminor is just iconic. It is recognizable and there is nothing else like it. That is what makes it appealing to both men and women.

40mm comes off large enough and it wears well- nice contrast to a standard dive watch like the bb58

Your wrist may not suit it….but if your going Panerai you got to get historic. Radiomir in 45mm at the minimum, and Luminor 44mm. You bebwould surprised how well it fits. And my wife loves the pink Luminor Pastello. Shame, they price too high. I do have a Panerai 45mm PAM01385. About $6k, and beautiful chocolate dial. To me it’s a little more different. Want to buy another Panerai but they look so similar, but leaning toward the Luna Rosa.
