I haven't played hearthstone in a long time, I do remember I could usually get C'thun around 20+ I remember an old hearthstone player/KZbinr, who got it around 70 & that blew my mind at the time.

They just should change Doomcaller imho. It doesn't even put it in your hand, it could have "Return C'thun in your deck if it's dead OR YOU'VE PLAYED IT" and opponents can still play against it. I think it's just unplayable atm.

I would just change two words on the card - if to once, so the effect still works if you play the Doomcaller before the C'thun, and dead to gone, so you get a C'thun back if the original gets stolen, burned, polymorphed, eaten, exploded or Life Sentenced.

Doomcaller would be so much nicer if it was 6 or 7 mana, and also read "if it doesn't exist shuffle it into your deck" because I've been offered it an absolutely silly number of times off of Discovers in decks that at best have C'thun the Shattered in them.

the minion naturally is a 1/1, and its size (like C'thun) is based on "your" C'thun. So when its eaten the stats become a 1/1 when removed from the opponents hand. Similar to how when you take control of an enemy C'thun it will go to its base stats if you havent played any c'thun followers

C'thun buffs act as a aura, don't they? I know they changed how the buffs apply to C'thun himself some time ago so the stats can no longer be silenced away but that change didn't happen for the Eyestalks. Think about it like stealing a minion affected by Flametongue or Murloc Warleader. Admittedly not intuitive because the minion never visibly leaves your opponents hand and so the stats shown never change.
