This game is one of the most slept game of the year. It is such a great game so far (not finished), and I hope more people play it to support When Ubisoft tries something different. It us from the same team as Rayman Origins/Legends and has the Ori composer doing some of the ost. Unfortunately, I hear people are having trouble with the Steam version due to Ubisoft connect (Ubisoft really needs to drop this). I hope Ubisoft continues with smaller projects like this. All the free DLC is nice too.

I am 41. I played all types of metroidvanias since Super Metroid and Castlevania. So ai know a thing or two on what makes a great metroidvania game. Ill be honest, I originally didnt like the game at first because of how hard the game is at first.. (also cause i was lazy learning anything new). Interesting the beautiful grahpics made me stay and explore. Eventually i was getting the hang of it.. and then new abilities made the game enjoyable. At the end i got to say it is one of the best games ive played in a while. I got all items on my own (except 2) and felt very rewarded the whole time. Highly recommend!

This game was so good. The platforming puzzles were true to the spirit of Prince of Persia. I kept getting reminded of the health bar puzzles in warrior within whenever I discovered a secret. I would highly recommend you try it. Without spoiling too much,Man that one part with the ship was so good.

Metroidvanias have become my favorite genre cause it combines two of my favorite parts of gaming, challenging platforming and intense combat, and the cherry on top of it all, a huge emphesis on exploration with useful and responsive maps....most of the time. Ender Lilies, Blasphemous, Afterimage, Deaths Gambit: Afterlife and of course Hollow Knight to name some of my favorites.

By two favorite Metroidvanias tied for first are obviously Hollow Knight Ender Lilies Closely following those are Grime Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (If HK and Ender Lilies are S+, Grime and PoP: The Lost Crown are S rank) Slightly following them are- Ori and the Will of the Wisps Unbound

I remember when this game was revealed at Summer Game Feast 2023 and how I immediately knew I had to play it because it looked quality. It was sad though how everyone was talking down on it for frivolous reasons like the song that was used in the trailer and the design of Sargon. I understand that POP fans have been craving a 3D game for a long time but to act like POP doing a 2D game makes it not a Prince of Persia game is just downright stupid. I bought the Lost Crown for the Switch and don’t regret the $50.00 because I’ve already played the game about 4 or 5 times. This was my first time ever playing a Prince of Persia game and will definitely need to check out the other games.

I think this and AC: Mirage were the last two Ubisoft games that I purchased. Skipped Avatar: Noble Savage Smurfs. Skipped Skull & Bones: AAAA slop. Skipping Star Wars Outcast and Assassin's Creed: Shadows of Historical Revisionism. Ubisoft has been striking out with me lately, but hey... thanks for taking away my license for The Crew. Wasn't enough to shut down the servers without enabling an offline mode. No, you took my game license, too. You also took away my access to my purchased DLCs for AC: 2, AC: Brotherood, and AC: Revelations. I guess I should get used to "not owning things," eh? Can you guess what my consumer sentiment is right now? Ubisoft has some of the worst anti-consumer practices in the whole industry, and that is saying something. If you all went bankrupt, I wouldn't shed a tear. That's coming from someone who used to white-knight for you. A consumer whose purchases go back to the N64 Rayman game. You're shameless. Also, just for the record. I liked AC: Mirage. It was fine. Some hilarious modern-day pandering here or there, but fine. Combat system was awful, but I learned to avoid combat whenever possible and stopped noticing it. Wasn't as good as Ghost of Tsushima, but it had plenty of neat locations and set pieces. Haven't gotten around to Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown yet. I think I'm too bitter to enjoy it right now, even if it is good. Maybe someday, after regulatory bodies have smacked Ubisoft into the dirt and/or the IP is sold to someone else during a bankruptcy hearing. One or the other.

Played that for the first about a year ago. Really great, short but sweet RPG with a really cool twist on timers to attack. Ubisoft Montpellier, studio who developed Lost Crown, also developed the Rayman series of games. Playing through Origins and Legends recently, I saw a lot things they took from those games and applied it to PoP: LC. If you haven't played them yet, I'd highly recommend them.

Also, sucks the game turned out to be good because no one should support Ubisoft these days. Players reporting the game also has saving problems where they are losing progress, which should not be a feature in this day and age, but here we are. Also, I personally stopped with Ubisoft games when they started shoehorning their damned background software and this title is of no exception and is required to even play. So ya... sucks its a good game that honestly will not get the support it deserves because the company who helped build and fund it are total prats.
