Jackfruit and durian is different. Its especially common here in Malaysia and known as the king of fruits. Durian is more round and sweet and has a slight bitter after taste, usually. ( like yours ) . People use cleavers and break it down the middle and use safe gloves of a sort to protect from the spikes. And to be very honest, YOUR durian inside looked kinda rotten a bit because it usually isnt brown pith on the inside. Jackfruit is more oblong , and the flesh looks kinda meaty sometimes like if pulled apart it looks like pulled pork. ( people like to use under ripe jackfruit as a meat substitute if im not mistaken )

I am a sri lankan some of those fruits are just normal fruits for us it is not actually exotic for us The first one = gaduguda The sixth one= mangus. The 13th one= passion fruit. I even have atree at my The 15th one= papaya . I have 2 papaya trees at home 20th one= guvava . Yes I have a tree at home The 21st one = baby mangoes. I have a tree of mangoes .it is basically mangoes before they perfectly ripe and baby mangoes are so good with salt, chillie powder ,sugar and alittle bit of water mixed together❤

I tried Durian wafers with my friends yesterday that we got from a Asian market and I made the mistake of opening it inside- and it's smelled so bad so we turned on all the fans and opened the windows then we tried the waters outside and they were nasty!! I hated them so much I had to spit them out! And then our neighbors cat came over and licked it and her face was priceless it was like a cat with a face of pure disgust! 😂 however it may have been because it was in water form and I've never tried the fruit plain-. Also you should totally try Ube it's my favorite thing ever I get them in wafers, ice cream, dumplings, cake, Boba, etc it's my favorite thing!
