Loved this vlog! Great points you made on why it didn’t work for you. I haven’t read this one, but enjoyed hearing your thoughts. Nickname Clee 🤢lol. I completely hear what you’re saying about sometimes not being able to turn your brain off and overanalyzing romance novels as I feel like I’m at that point too. I’ve only read one by her: People We Meet In On Vacation and couldn’t wait for it to be over. At first I was a little charmed by the banter, but it became so overkill and along with the constant jumping forward and backwards in time, it lost my interest. I was so uncomfortable with the two characters by the end - blech haha. I was thinking of trying Beach Read as one last try for Emily Henry, but maybe not 😂. One of the only contemporary romances I’ve enjoyed recently was called The Wall of Winnepeg and Me by Mariana Zapata. It was a slow burn, but was funny with likable characters and the pay off was so worth it. Other than that, I’m staying away unless there’s a paranormal element within the story to make it more interesting! I’m sorry to hear the other books were kind of duds as well, but hope you have many more great reads coming up!
