Biology teacher here: The wrist band is measuring the change in electrical current running through your muscles/moto neurons, as the name says Electromyographie. Not your tendons, They don't carry any charge. Otherwise: solid video! :D
@marioalday5966Ай бұрын
Not to count EMG captures the data by inserting a couple of fine copper needles about 6mm deep into your muscles (that means the needles need to traverse all skin layers to reach the muscle). Ouch! And to get a reasonable map you need to use at least data from 12 points from each limb. It is a modern torture technique called EMG.
@laratheplanespotterАй бұрын

This would make driving much safer, assuming that the visuals are predictable and not intrusive. Any time you need to take your eyes off the road to look at your GPS or dash is a significant increase in risk. Imagine seeing an arrow hovering over the exact spot you are supposed to turn, or having a line overlaid on the road that shows exactly where you should go. Cars could start transmitting ECU data over Bluetooth for these kinds of devices so you could see things like speed, fuel/charge, and alerts etc so you would never need to take your eyes off the road. Of course all this only makes sense if self driving cars haven't become totally prevalent by then. Either way, the future is looking pretty neat.

If the first version that actually gets released can do the things that phones do, then there's no need to carry a smartphone. I could imagine them integrating Android emulation, so you can run any Android app right out of the box. If they did that, what would be the point of carrying a smartphone? I'm sure Apple is already looking into this tech too as the next step, and I bet they want a way to integrate iOS apps.

Some other use cases: 1. you are shopping in supermart, you see ingredients of something you think can be interesting. But your glasses can tell that there is some ingredient there that you are allergic to! 2. cycling in a new area - the speakers speak the directions to you, and glasses overlay on the road after you have been alerted of the overlay coming there. 3. Digitize the notes you take on a notebook, as the glasses can directly take a picture. 4. You generate some art using AI, you can see what it looks like on your wall 5. Digitally trying our clothes and furniture placement in your home.

sicker would be coding in 3d i've seen some basic attempts to bring coding to vr, but nothing that truly brings and distills the absolute amount of information that a 3d view of source code could provide. the productivity savings that ai brings, that could be easily compounded by an even bigger time savings with some 3d representation of code built on top of deep code analysis. edit: btw i've done years of software dev, including at one of the biggest tech companies in the world and on a product that, if it went down globally, would cost the world billions per hour and possibly countless lives as well. about the only thing we couldn't be used for is the most safety-critical systems like 911, but we were used by many isps and even major broadcasters for mission-critical signaling.

I like the idea of a developer showing off their progress on something they haven't decided to ship to the public yet. Think of all the projects that got cancelled mid production (star wars battlefront 3 for an example off the top of my head) and you hear about them years later wishing they were a thing that continued.
