I’ve bought a decent amount of new games that came out over the last couples years, and so far God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy and Dead Island 2, are the only 3 games that I personally, have had 0 major issues with, besides the occasional NPC getting stuck in a wall or something small like that, and all were also very fun to play. It’s getting pretty pathetic how many of these AAA companies and developers are releasing such trash now a days. It’s like the only time they play through the game is when they are building it, and don’t bother to check for any problems when it’s completed.

I actually bought Anthem for like 4 dollars and tried it out and, honestly? It's really sad to see it as bare bones and lackluster as it is. I actually love the flight mechanic in it, and the combat, while repetitive, feels (almost) fun with all the different class abilities. (I also like the suit customization, always a fan of getting to play dress-up in my action/adventure game lol) It definitely could have been a great game if ANYONE had cared about it, but it was definitely a "dead on arrival" game.

Buddy of mine had a similar bug in Skyrim where Farkas would follow him around everywhere and auto start dialogue, even in the middle of a fight haha. He would run in real time too so if he fast travelled to the other side of the map it was only a matter of time before you saw him sprinting over a hill top towards ya haha.

In my opinion, they tried to push void engine too far outside its limits. It was built to excel in the voidlike-weird effects that make Arkane Studios special, focused on urban scenarios, and in fact as far as I've seen it drops a lot of fps in natural areas. Such a shame for Arkane, possibly the game dev studio I love the most, hopefully it won't cause problems with Bethesda and future games

Redfall is such a shame. Arkane doesn't always hit homeruns but it is not usually this bad. Sure it is a entirely serviceable game if you get a working copy. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a 5/10 experience. But I expected more from Arkane. I like the graphics tho. Arkane always did stylistic very well.

It really is a good game in what it tries to achieve, which is something all good games do; they are good in what they wish to achieve. Skyrim definitely has an extended lifespan and extra love because of the spectacular modding scene, but please, while I understand the disdain towards Bethesda do not pretend as if Skyrim is somehow a horrible game. Oblivion was/is literally my second favourite game of all-time (the first being the Witcher 3) but just like Skyrim, Oblivion was a bugfest. That's just Bethesda games, at this point. Is that a good thing? No, it's not even an acceptable thing but that's just the way it is. In spite of Skyrim's lacklustre quests and RPG mechanics it was a fantastic adventure fantasy game and the game still smashes that initial sense of wonder and depth (world-wise) out of the park.

I remember playing Redfall one the other day while trying to get my bearings on the overall mechanics. I picked Jacob because he seemed to be the sensible choice because he has a crow that lets you see through walls, so obviously he was the better choice out of the four in my opinion. I was trying to make my way to a helicopter area for resources but came across a fire from the debris. As I approached it I noticed something strange, the framerate tanked dramatically. While I was looking at the fire I noticed that the frame rate was just struggling to keep something consistent. In my mind I'm thinking that this game at a certain standpoint was rushed or didn't have enough development time. I did not buy this game, it was on xbox game pass on day one, which shows a complete lack of confidence in the game. I'm wondering if the studio is still working on this game or if it's just moved on to something else, because it's pretty good but unoptimized
