Your Chinese sounds very natural, growing up in a Chinese family did build you the foundation that is difficult for the REAL second language learner to achieve. If you get chance to live in China for a year I bet you would be super fluent

You remind me so much of my best friend: she’s soooo athletic, she ripped two ligaments in her leg, snapped an ankle and still won a national tennis tournament with first place, goes to a trillion different sports clubs AND manages to keep up with school work. it really is! you can start by trying to learn the basics first and in order to get the correct pronunciation try to see how native speakers speak and repeatedly listen to it. afterwards you can delve deeper into learning it. (i'm chinese so i learnt it since i was young but that's what i was told to people who are interested in learning it ^^)

I think your Chinese ability is okay for daily life and that’s enough, cuz it’s your second language(I think English is your mother tongue😂), think about that a lot of people can’t use two languages as well. It's still amazing you are able to speak Mandarin due to the environment, for my case, most Chinese in Malaysia are kinda still able to speak dialect as well. My parents send me to chinese primary school for education and they speak mandarin with me, I only understand Cantonese beside Mandarin.
