You can glitch the bell through the closed gate that connects the final area to the first area by wriggling up against the side with the lock and repeatedly putting the bell down and picking it up. It's kind of finicky, but once you get it down you can do it pretty reliably.

I know that you guys did this a few months ago but when you steal the bell and come to the path and stairs, go to the path. When you get up to the fence, you can clip your head through by bending. You can then drop the bell and run back through the town without people stopping you. Then, when you reach the pond where you started, cross the bridge and pick up the bell. No one bothers you and you can shave off up to 50 seconds of time!
