The exploration is amazing in steep, "Shredders", an Indy game has the best feel and flow in a snowboarding game that I have played.

i love these types of games. Steep, Skate, Riders Replubic, are just awesome cool fun games with cool mechanics and engines. They just need more post launch FREE content. Which RR is doing a good job at imo😁

@@brettenroberts1317 i just discovered riders republic it’s made by the same devs as steep but in no way shape or form is it a sequel. it’s very arcade-like & in your face, compared to steep being more realistic (in ways) & more mellow. both are very good in their own way.

I played steep for years and then I started playing Riders Republic. initially I complained because I thought steep feeling more realistic but now I enjoy it more with RR... it's more fun, and as a snowboarder in real life, I always imagine if there really was a place where so many people ride all day with mountains and snow parks everywhere 😂

Oh played both for quite a lot of hours each and I gotta disagree, steep even at its tune was a more realistic take on the otherwise goofy snow sports games we were getting with SSX and whatnot and steep changed the game but RR added so much polish and creativity to it. I loved steep alot tho

This game is something else. Its so therapeutic and relaxing. Sometimes the best after a bad day is something like this. RR aint bad but its purely microtransaction too much arcade style. It would have been nice Ubisoft did a BMX focused game like Steep.

I got it on sale in early 2021 and played it for like a month solid. it's really great, but I've always found the animations to be a little stiff. and some of those wingsuit/rocketsuit events are basically impossible lol

It feels that way but I had so much fun going back and getting gold medals on all the alps wingsuit challenges. If you start with the easy challenges to get a feeling for proximity flying and tight dives it starts to feel way more natural

did they add the option to drop from your parachute on ya snowboard ? and when u jump from a rock into the abyss, can u pop ya wind suite ? or is it the same shit , u pick ya board and u don`t have the wing suite or parachute ?

Returning to Steep after 5 months to find they've not only deleted the Winter Olympics DLC that I paid for but also access to the Japan map unless I either get enough points to reopen it, which I never will, or buy the points themselves which I'm not doing, seeing as I've already bought the map, is ridiculous! Update: I just went back into Steep 2 days ago because the X Games DLC was on sale for £3.99 and lo and behold the Winter Olympics DLC is back and I can finally play Japan again!

when they removed road to the olympus’s and made it unbuyable to anyone who didn’t get it before 2019 it sort of ruined a key part of the game for me, i will always miss it as i can’t play it on pc now only on my ps. also should’ve ubi have noticed that steep has more players than RR l? this really says something
