I tried styling outfits from stores I never shop at! I went shopping at some unpopular clothing stores like aeropostale and walmart to try styling clothes from unpopular brands. I've tried styling clothes I hate for week and styling clothes I never wear, but today I'm putting together full outfits featuring clothes from brands that are not trendy.

Meh, I disagree. I think their polos and clothes with logos all look incredibly dated. There were shirts in the video I remember buying in 2009-2012 as a young teen. I think American Eagle is much more discrete with their branding which makes the clothes transition well into adulthood.

I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years, and usually I enjoy them. But wow. You seem kind of snobby. Not everyone has a mall in their town. I’d have to drive 2 hours to get to the nearest mall. Walmart, TJ Maxx, and Ross is where everyone in my county shops, and that’s a 45 minute drive one way for me. They’re the nearest places to get cute clothes. Walmart and TJ Maxx have lots of cute stuff. Personally, I think your style is very basic. I prefer more of a beachy/boho look, that’s always been my personal style. If I’m not dressed beachy/boho then I’m in my workout gear. Not everyone changes their style to fit in with what is “trendy” at every moment. There have been a lot of trends since I was a young teen, and if I had followed them all, I’d have a lot of embarrassment to look back on. A lot of the stuff I actually saw in this video that I liked, you were referring to as “outdated”. Not everyone lives in California. The whole point of this video (I thought) was to style things from these stores. Not pick through and talk about how horrible everything was. That just struck a nerve with me and I found it very annoying. I don’t think you realize how much privilege you have. Aside from all of that, everything you chose just looks like a casual soccer-mom outfit. I was hoping for maybe some inspiration or something. Disappointed.

I live in California and there's vast array of styles, all great in it's own way. I also think Ross and TJ Maxx etc, are really good finds, not outdated at all. She was turning her nose at everything and she doesn't realize it's her very basic limited sense of style holding her back more than anything. Hopefully she understands and comes back better

I hate to agree with the general consensus here, but this video left a bad taste in my mouth. Aeropostale is known for their classic polos with their logo on it. That’d be like Lacoste not making their classic polos with the little alligator on it. Plus most kids wear uniforms now in school and I know at my local one, lots of parents shopped there for the uniform clothes. They’re one of the few stores that has jeans that actually fit me along with Wet Seal and always had good sales on them. Also just because a store doesn’t have clothes that fit *your* style doesn’t mean they don’t keep up with the trends. Walmart’s tend to have a variety of clothes that vary by region and location. My Walmart by me had totally different clothes than the one in my old town did, and they both had different clothes than all the Walmart’s I stopped in along the west coast when I went on a road trip last year lol. I personally LOVE their cotton leggings. $5 and they’re so soft and are decent quality. I don’t shop at store like TJ Maxx and Ross just because I can’t ever find much in my size, but they do have cute clothes. Step out of your comfort zone, work with a stylist and take their tips and use them. Someone suggested that and I agree. Also, the store being empty at 1 on a Saturday doesn’t necessarily mean anything. That’s peak lunch time in retail and when I worked at Macy’s, that’s usually when most people were at the food court. And also, people shop online more these days. Hell, I just ordered some shirts, sweats, and undies at American Eagle and I didn’t wanna step foot in the mall on a Saturday, so I went online lol.

As a department manager over the women’s clothing section at my Walmart, I can tell you right now to get out of the juniors section. It isn’t right for your body type and the fits you’re looking for. The women’s section has stuff that will fit SO much better. The newest brand in the women’s section, Time and True, is awesome. They’re very roomy and I feel like very good quality for Walmart clothes. The plus size sections smallest size would probably fit you the way you want as well. 🙂

TJ Maxx is VERY hit or miss...every store has different stock, & some items are one-offs. The nature of TJ Maxx is different than mall boutiques/dept. stores...They're not designing & manufacturing clothing, or bringing in specific designers. They're buying overrun, clearance items, pieces from previous seasons, closeouts, etc. You can get lucky & find GREAT items; but to find the best stuff, you have to pop in often, & just dig through the racks...It's retail anthropology 😋

im 15 yo and shop at TJ Maxx. TJ Maxx can be for anyone but if u go there keep in mind TJ Maxx can be hit or miss. (At least for me it is) If u saw this before I apologize for my attitude.

blue ag dolls I’m 21 and shop there all the time. It’s probably the most popular store in the town where I go to college! It’s really great for finding cute things on discount and doesn’t just sell clothing either

Literally nothing at Aero is outdated, they’re very good with keeping up with the trend, my uncle is a floor designer at aero in their main store in nyc, and he always shows us their new releases and their soon releases and they are very up to date. And from what I know Aero is still very popular, now I’m not much of an aero fan, but I don’t mind buying an outfit there. Maybe try being out of your comfort zone, because all your outfits were a t-shirt/cropped shirt, with denim. Just my opinion 🤷🏻‍♀️
