Welcome to BookTube :) It's refreshing to hear you talk about being an avid reader but not being a book collector. Honestly, I get second hand anxiety from many of the ballooning collections of some of the BookTubers out there. It's just not sustainable, and unrealistic for most people to try to own all the books they want to/have read. Thank goodness for libraries and thrift stores!! Anyway, I love both Catch22 and Emma :) I look forward to hearing more, and will check out your DiscWorld videos, since that's one of my favorites series of all time.

@@redeyedzhaan thanks a million. Books are objects that are lovely to collect, but first and foremost they’re things to read. If you can afford a library, good on you, but for the rest of us 2nd hand and kindle deals will give you the same experience. Hope you enjoy the Discworld vids, I’ve done quite a few since this 😁

Welcome to book tube. So many books and so little time. The problem with watching other book tubers channels is that it only increases the tbr! Happy reading to you and best wishes to your channel.

Hey, thanks a million for watching and yeah you’re not wrong, the TBR has gone through the roof 😂

Thanks a million for your stopping by. I’ve just watched your 1k subscribers video (congrats by the way) and was absolutely gobsmacked by the experience you had with the troll on your Kite Runner video, just goes to show that you get unpleasant people everywhere, even on Booktube. So glad you stuck to it because there’s some great vids on your channel that I’m looking forward to diving more deeply into. 😁

Welcome to Booktube and thanks for the mention! I am all for your plan to get people to read Lee Child! Jack Reacher is so much fun to read. Looking forward to following your reading projects! 😊📚

Hey, thanks a million for watching. And thank you for being one of the few booktubers that bangs the drum for Reacher. I tried to think of a really clever way to shoehorn ‘Reacher said nothing’ into my reply but I’m drawing a blank😂

@@TheBookThing the fact that you tried is enough! I’d love to see more booktubers reading crime fiction and thrillers! 😊

Welcome to BookTube. Catch 22 is sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. I did love the film though.
@TheBookThing6 ай бұрын
Thank you! It’s a massive cliche, but the film is nowhere near as good as the book so I reckon you’ll enjoy it 😁

Welcome to Booktube! Just discovered your channel through MJ and always delighted to meet a fellow constant reader. I need to give Catch 22 a re-read one day. Hannibal is definitely my least favorite of the series. Love Stephen King and Neil Gaiman, I mostly read horror but am branching out a bit. The Road is a very grim, difficult read.
@TheBookThing5 ай бұрын
Thanks for stopping by, MJ really is out there doing the Lord’s work, I’m very grateful. Definitely sounds like we’re pretty aligned and just in time for me to subscribe as I’m considering delving back into horror for the first time in a while.

Welcome to BookTube! I honestly have an aversion to Jane Austen as well. 🤣I think I've read every book by her except for Emma. I think her books just aren't for me. I do enjoy a mix of classic and modern fiction as well.
@TheBookThing6 ай бұрын
I doubt that you’ll miss out with Emma, I’ve heard it’s Austen at her most Austen-ey, so it’s catnip for Austen enthusiasts and kryptonite for the rest of us. Maybe that’s why I’m so averse to her, it’d be like if the first alcohol you tasted was moonshine 😂 Thanks a million for watching
