hey yall, long time no see. i plan to post a few videos during this crazy time in the world and i hope everyone is staying safe. today i am doing a night skincare video bc my skin broke out quite a bit when i started back doing natural hairstyles. i tried out 3 the ordinary products: 100% plant-derived squalane, hyaluronic acid 2% + b5, and aha 30% + bha 2%. i also followed up with my favorite mask: boscia luminizing black charcoal mask. check out the video to see my results after 10 days :)
I used the peel only once*, the squalane only in the evenings. Also this is a *night routine so no spf is shown. SPF should be used everyday! I use the vichy ideal soleil ultra light face sunscreen broad spectrum spf 50 (also from Ulta lol).

Hello! Great video. I am an esthetician and here is how you layer your skincare routine: 1. Cleanse 2. Face Masks (optional and only to be used one a week at maximum) 3. Toner 4. Serums 5. Moisturizer 6. Sunscreen Note: I recommend using a sunscreen if you use a Vitamin C serum. Vitamin C makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. Oh my gosh the exact same thing happened to me once I started working from home. I started just leaving my hair in cornrows and oiling my scalp more frequently. Out of nowhere my skin broke out really badly especially on my forehead and hairline (little rash like pimples, I actually wasn't sure if they were rashes or pimples) which was so strange because I never really have breakouts on my forehead. Just like you I started using some of the ordinary products with my regular face routine and it's started clearing out. Definitely trying to make sure my pillowcases are changed frequently now (I try to change then every 2 days now). Great video girl!

I’m waiting for my products to ship. I have watch a few videos especially from Hyram on skincare and just a heads up they don’t recommend using the peel and the toner together because it can cause a chemical reaction on ur skin since both are abrasive and ur skin is extra sensitive after the peel so either or not both. But doesn’t seem like u had any issues so far

Thanks for the heads up. I might not have had a reaction because my skin is used to peels, but I’m not sure. I used the peel again a few days ago and didn’t have any issues so maybe I just got lucky lol. I’ll definitely avoid using toner after the peel from now on. Thanks for letting me know!

Just adding, based on my research on toner, it is best to use it before the peel so it can calm your skin and lessen any reactions. Also, hylarounic acid is most useful when used on damn skin. Dr Dray and other dermatologist i watched advice this. Your skin looks good. I've been working on clearing up my skin as well.

So I have bad hyperpigmentation and somewhat dullness I have been dealing with it for a longgg time . I was wondering if it would be ok to mix pycnogenol 5% , glycolic acid 7% toning solution as well as the Ascorbic acid 8% +Alpha Arbutin 2% ?

It’s better to put oil on after your face moisturizer:) it makes the moisturizer hard to penetrate the skin when there is an oil to try and penetrate through... just food for thought :)

Hey! I actually stopped using Triluma a few years ago. From what I can remember, it helped quite a bit to fade my dark areas. It is a bit pricey but it gets the job done. It just takes some time to see results. Hope this helps
