It's important to be mindful that these are primarily hearing aids designed to assist hearing and understanding speech in a live situation. Whilst streaming is a useful bonus, to suggest that only iPhone users should consider the Sonys is somewhat missing the point

Thank you for your comment, @peter7239 ! Please allow me to explain my opinion, and why I believe streaming is so important for people with hearing loss and/or tinnitus. Streaming music, although important as well, is the least of my worries. However, streaming calls and meetings straight into one’s ears is hugely important. Being able to clearly and confidently communicate with colleagues, customers, family, etc., without having to guess what the person/s on the other side of the call or meeting is saying is important to our productivity and self-confidence as people who suffer from hearing loss and/or tinnitus. If your hearing loss is mild, this might not be a big issue, but anyone with moderate or worse hearing loss will tell you that hearing well over the normal cellphone speaker could turn into a challenge, especially if one is outside and exposed to other sounds. Being able to stream any kind of communication straight into one’s ears makes an enormous difference. And not having to use the speaker function in order to hear better, is addressing any privacy and confidentially issues that might arise if other people are around you. In addition, streaming is also important to tinnitus sufferers who would like to take advantage of sound therapy during the day to reduce the impact of tinnitus on their lives.

Thanks Guy. Your explanation is valid and understood. The Sony E10 however, at about a third of the price of its prescription equivalent, the Signia Active Pro, which also only streams to iPhone, is a bargain. Certainly worth it as an interim device pending the emergence of broader compatibility devices.

Yes, definitely. I said this myself at the beginning of the video. Do you use these aids? How do you like them on daily basis?

Yes I use the E10s. Very happy with them and so comfortable and easy to use. Mind you, they are my first hearing aid so I have nothing to compare them to. Also, my high frequency loss dips into the moderately severe so I'm not truly within the OTC target range.
