Going off the notes this sounds like it would smell like a drunken winter night out downtown, but when you tried to bar hop you went to church and got scolded by an old Priest named Benedict.

Just for the heck of it, I went to their website and every fragrance is sold out. They have nothing available. And they're prices are quite high.

Even the 2ml decant cost me £15!

This makes me think of something Aaron terrence hughes said when it comes to note breakdowns “I’m just the chemist. I have little to do with the marketing in that regard” So basically note breakdowns are often largely a gimmick. Sure some chemicals are inevitably going to be put together, to resemble a very specific smell, but with stuff like this, the marketer could have easily replaced credit card with “plastic bottle” “Tupperware” ect. It just makes me take note breakdowns a lot less seriously, especially with such ridiculous notes. Similarly with priest robe, it literally could’ve been a bunch of chemicals that smell faintly of frankincense, or even some basic wood, and the buyer goes “yeah I suppose a priest robe does kinda smell like that”. I’m aware I’m stating the obvious, but it puts into perspective the absurdity of some note breakdowns. Largely psychological/marketing in MANY cases, and not based on pure scent.

Totally hear you! It’s wild how they can slap a name on a scent and suddenly it’s got a whole backstory. Makes you wonder what else they could sell us!
