Capsule hotels are amazing. They are crazy cheap, it's unbelievable. I also really liked that the doors of the capsules look easy to open so you don't feel "trapped" as for many people staying in a fully closed and tight room's a horrible feeling. I would absolutely try these hotels out

Hmm the prices have changed quite a bit, also the gaming hotel is in Osaka not Tokyo. I was really hyped to go there as I head for Tokyo tomorrow, guess I need to find another hotel. The 6 dollar one costs around 20 from where I am booking. I think I'll still take it!

Some of these pod hotels have everything included, free meals and (alcohol) drinks. Pyjama's, headphones and lots more. You do not need to spend lots of money elsewhere to eat or have leisure time. Maybe they even have discount for 3 days or a whole week.

They're great. But you should talk about secure storage. Most people have a large check in bag and carry ons, and without a lockable door you just gotta hope no one messes with your stuff. Also imagine that you have to share the bed with your luggage and hope whatever dirt it collected rolling on the ground or the baggage handling system of the airports isn't getting all over your bed.

You are able to have them store your luggage for you at the front desk/check-in area of most of these places. Also, it's Japan, so it's incredibly safe and there's not going to be a risk of anyone messing with your stuff there.
