pro tip on the boba: if its too sweet for you, you can ask for 0 or 25% sugar. It turns it from a dessert into a refreshing drink!

I agree cause I’ve always loved Asian cuisine but it’s quite hard to find in my country but with the growing popularity around it, it’s so much easier to get nowadays but yeah sometimes I do feel disappointed when I don’t like certain foods because I don’t know if it’s because of the food itself or just how it was made in my country and whether the original would be better

I’ve been to sticks and sushi, once to pick up takeaway, and a second time for a sit-down meal, and I immensely enjoy their food. The vibes are great and the flavours are so tasty. Expensive, but worth it for a special outing meal.

@@Charbond I’ve only bought bubble tea, I never made one before but a user added a good recipe video in the comments. I think it’s best to stick with the traditional for now. Milk tea and tapioca, you can get tapioca from any Asian food store. I personally love caramel bubble tea, so maybe you can try that and add some caramel syrup. I’ve also had the strawberry version with mushed up strawberries and tapioca. I hope that helps a bit. :)

Taz!!! Veteran boba milktea drinker would always recommend half sugar/ less sugar for better boba drinking experience! also, make sure you shake it real good so the sugar is all combined with the milk (all the yucky black thick liquid thingy is melted brown sugar).

Taz make sure with boba before you put the straw in to give it a good shake (or if you forget stir it really good after you put straw in) cuz all the syrup is at the bottom with the boba, you wanna infuse it into the milk/tea :)

Fun fact: those hotdogs are super cheap in Korea (like, no more than $4~5 depending on the toppings). The most basic ones are $1 and they're called myeonglang hotdogs 🥴 but they're super expensive anywhere outside of Korea lmao

That brown sugar boba was probably too sweet because you didn't mix it up before poking your straw it. The milk tea usually dilutes the sugar that's sitting at the bottom. The ice cream in fish bread is a japanese sweet called taiyaki, its traditionally had with red bean in it but many places put ice cream in it. The thai chicken looked like it was taiwanese chicken? I don't think bubble tea/boba is a fad tho, its existed here in Asia for ages, the West is just hearing about it and making a "trend" of our culture like its a fad.

I always ask for 25% or sugarless and half ice for my bubble tea bc otherwise its too sweet and thin. Usually the toppings give enough sweetness for the entire drink. Granted, some franchises dont let you play with the sweetness and ice level so i just dont go to these shops. I love my kidney more. I know the alley in my country wont let me change the default settings lmao.
