8:20 "It's like the bot games, but real people." - That's a good comparison. Probably why it was so fun to watch. This could be a really great series, a raid boss game every week or so for a couple of months sounds amazing. 29:05 I'm 90% sure purple buff does not reduce protections in conquest. The devs wanted to steer the joust meta away from double tank comps, so put in an attack speed buff with prot shred (the patch notes gave that as the reason, but I don't think the change was carried over to conquest purple... not sure, since I don't play conquest). I think why they struggled is that they kept fighting several times after you used beads and they would tend to lose 4-5 people. If they immediately retreated when you used beads and then re-engaged later, I think they would have done better (they still might have lost a person or two, but it would have cut their losses more effectively). Also, bao or gooseberries might have actually been better than the other tier 1 items they were getting, but I'm not sure if that would be legal. 3k and 500 pots should probably be legal for you, but I would make 500 pots legal for them as balance. You getting a hunter with good clear and a mage makes it difficult to tell how balanced this is, but it was enjoyable to watch. The other end of the spectrum, like Geb or Khepri, would pretty much be an automatic loss (although that would be entertaining in its own way). Yeah, this would be a prime series. The bot challenges are fun, but this would have even more long-term potential with the variety of match-ups. For an additional rule, I would suggest making a change that when an enemy player kils you, allowing them to upgrade a tier 1 item into a tier 2 (although they had a few tier 2s with charged bow, so I'm not sure how that works).

When I played raid boss back in the day, the mandated actives for the 5 were blink and sunder. I don't remember if the raid boss had assigned actives. I do remember that we were given a few core rules and then turned loose. I proxied the first wave and then there was sort of a "there are 4 rules" type of moment.
