It feels like the developer only thought people enjoyed Jump King because it made them angry, people enjoy it because of the fun design, brilliant art style, and while it was cruel it never felt unfair, if you fell in Jump King it was because you made a mistake with your jump, it didn't expect you to magically know that at random points you could fall through the floor, or have terrible terrain physics that mean you are floating, or extremely irritating mechanics like locking you into a fall that forced you to go to the start again, that isn't fun

It's trying to be a lazy cash grab, and doesn't stand anywhere near getting over it and Jump king. In fact it's a huge insult to rage games due to it's ulterior motives and slothfulness.

Jump King is basically vertical Celeste. Given, the skill ceiling isn't as high but the reason its a beloved game is because its a really well polished platformer with amazing soundtrack and artstyle. Thats the exact thing that makes Jump King also a good game. Only Up is like someone discovered Unity last week and pasted in every single asset in the engine and expect things to make sense

Idk if yall know this but there aren’t very many jobs that aren’t replaceable. Office job? Look at ai. Manufacturing? We’ve been doing it. Cooking? Same. Cleaning? Nothing will be safe when you can pay 30k for a person to work for a year or 50k for a machine that will keep going forever, no breaks, no complaints, no lawsuits, and no unions, no rights. Think that corporate accountant is going to look at anyone as less than a number? No because the will be a computer too. May not happen today, may not happen this decade, but it’ll happen. Look at how long it took humans to get to industrialize, then how long it took for the first pc, then the first smart phone. The future is coming every day.

This game, however, has hitboxes that make no sense, no real artistic cohesion, shit audio track for the narration with a voice one would use to read the phonebook or a school essay. it is NOT the worst game in the world but there is no reason for this game to become as popular as it did

Oh, I came across this game randomly on steam and all the reviews for it were really bad. I’m surprised to hear it’s popular right now.
