In terms of water starters in this game, I honestly think froakie in the best after you hatch one or two froakie eggs. Battle Bond greninja clears mostly everything with water shuriken. Oh and there's adaptability as a passive if you take the time to grind 40 candies

I see Ivy as the rival KZbinrs have the most of, and I have Finn as my rival. Finn is the BOSS FIGHT for every last time I encounter him! I know his starter's typing, I know his team, and I STILL lose because of his INSANE AI Also, you can give a Rare Candy to a pokemon with the max level, and it will give them an extra level anyways.

With the first Misty fight, I think that’s a problem with Pokerogue’s ai, since I’ve had battles like that where they’ll switch way too much and one Pokémon sets up and sweeps.
