I've admired Tal since I was young boy. He has always truly been an inspiration to me. I've been playing now for 26 years and still manage to blunder my king instead of forced mate sequences.

Hey Agad you should make a video based off of Retro Recipes “Could an 80s computer beat a modern Mac”. Basically 4 games of chess between an old Amiga Commodore Computer and a modern Mac Book, with varying Elo levels. Would love to see your commentary on that

Playing to emulate Tal takes a lot less time than trying to calculate a move like h6. Good lesson for rapidplay. Thank you, nice game.

Classic illustration of one side being so concerned with its attack that it leaves the king undefended even though anyone can see the wall of pawns defending the king will soon collapse. The queen and both rooks were totally out of position to do anything about the assault on their king. I have learned that at least one of the three (preferably the queen) should remain behind in position to stop an all out assault.

I remember once I blundered my queen, and then noticed that there is a checkmate in 2. Turns out, my blunder was actually a brilliancy and taking my queen was a blunder for my opponent. 😂

Hiding behind the h pawn is bad??? Yea, that and allowing white's knight to rest in the center of the board controlling every useful defensive square black needed. And giving your rook an open file, along with allowing your bishop and queen to connect with tactics on his king. At that point I think the king cowering behind white's pawn was the BEST part of black's position...considering every aspect was worse than the next!

Hikaru's (the rapid WFRCC) wife almost beat Wesley So's (the classical WFRCC) girlfriend! 2023 USCC - Indeed Carissa Yip won and thanked Wesley So as her secret second in the 2023 USCC closing ceremony speech. But in Carissa vs Atousa, Carissa was losing most of the game. Atousa just blundered in the end. move 54 for black is an 8-move equality puzzle it's so sharp [Variant "From Position"] [FEN "1Q5k/3r1rn1/p3N3/Pp1p2P1/1q2p3/1B2R2P/5P2/6K1 b"] 1...
