Here's one I think you'll like. It's called conager by louis lamour, when I started reading it I thought it was an action weastern. It was more romance than western. A lonely ranch woman on the frontier who writes poems meets up with conger a cowhand. There's apache and outlaws around. How they meet is interesting saddle up and enjoy.

Tip for books that have a lot of characters like that and you’re having a hard time keeping up with them: this is just something i do for every book i read just in case this happens, and a suggestion, you do you.. I keep a character list: every time the reader is introduced to a new character i write them down in my reading journal (i use my journal more for taking notes as i read) and next to the characters name i make a side note of their relation to the main character, this way i can just reference this list as i read if i come across a character i don’t remember all that well rather than googling who they are and potentially spoiling things for myself I hope this makes sense?

If you’re listening to an audiobook on audible, you can speed the book up to about 2x the normal speed. I like listening to audiobooks on about 1.3-1.5 speed ❤❤❤

I just waited for you to read powerful. I feel the same way, I would have LOVED a full length book for Adenas story. And as you said it’s even worse knowing what awaits her.
