I'm convinced 1.0 - 1.4 were the best open beta any gacha game could have ever had, Kuro made money while fixing and improving WuWa non-stop, the gradual increase in overall quality, mechanics, performace optimizations, in-game content, marketing, world design, music etc. was improved for every subsequent patches in verison 1. 2.0 was the result, they never officially stated any game relaunch or revamp, but having the 2.0 main region be called Rinascita which means Rebirth is pretty telling of what they wanted to happen and it did WuWa was reborn to being finally something really peak

So I came back after hearing your opinion about To The Shore's End Main Quest (Shorekeeper Quest), and I can explain a summary. So the story was about the Port of Guixiu (The City that we are seeing at the beginning) and how the Lament devour that city. Some remnants/Lament scattered around the area which are the past figures of those who suffered during that Lament (Which is an catastrophic event that occurs multiple times in Solaris). So Youhu scattered and retrieve some remnants then TD came and SK saved us and got us teleported to the Blackshore. Basically the plot showed the Shorekeeper was with us since the beginning of 1.0 (Where we woke up and had our memories reset) and was guiding us along the way. The Tethys System was actually using the Lament as a source of battery which in turn made the necrostar which succumbs every people it touches (literally akin to a blackhole). When we entered the Necrostar, we have discovered the Port of Guixiu one hour before the Lament occured and found that the people who never dies for hundreds of years (possibly) exist there repeating the sequence repeatedly. Hence we saw the real Hoda and her determination with the Blackshore's goal. It was our job to stop making the Tethys system use the necrostar and the Lament as a source of battery. It was accidental, but the Tethys System knew of our standings (As explained by a Kurorobot) and tried to use as a source of power, which Shorekeeper didn't expect and tried to save us. At the end of it all, When we saved Shorekeeper, there was a scene where our Tacet Mark glowing which has the implication that Abby saved the Rover and SK by consuming the Lament (which was mentioned earlier that Abby didn't really wanted to eat it in the first place) which may have caused his energy to subside. It's also another implication that Abby gave the Tethys System the alternative source of power that Rover mentioned in the final cutscene which makes Abby weak in the process. Hence, we are journeying to Rinascita to cure Abby's condition.

Thanks for the concise summary. I can attest that this is accurate. Also worth pointing out is that Shorekeeper and the Tethys System are opposites to each other: Tethys always says that emotions aren't necessary for survival, yet insists on being fueled by Lament to function properly. Whereas Shorekeeper claims while she doesn't understand emotions, she shows that she earned that understanding throughout the story by saving Rover in the simulated Guixu City

19:45 It takes some time to get a great echo set but honestly upgrading character and getting a full set in this game is so much easier than other gacha games. I already got full double CRIT after a few weeks instead of a few months and I'm spending a lot of resource upgrading characters

If you like how easy the gear farm is in Wuwa you should try snowbreak. Only 3 substats and you can reroll 2/3 of them repeatedly

@Nonpon the game isn't good enough sadly I also tried HI3, AG, ToF, and other gacha games at their release and the one I stick around for rn is GI, PGR, Wuwa, ZZZ. I haven't played snow break much so idk about that game in particular but usually if it is easy to get a good substat/RNG roll, it take more time and resources to get them to max potential by having some other resources time gated For Wuwa getting to lvl 80 and lvl 10 talent (only need 2 maybe 3 talent/character) is easy, getting echo is also easy, getting good substat the only thing taking some times So resources wise I rarely consider them an issue unless it is really bad (I still hate that part of GI, not huge fan of the game anymore). I only care if the game has good gameplay or not

My only issue SO far with wuwa is why in god's name you have to repeat the same bloody mistake as Genshin with area locked ascension materials, at LEAST offer some way to get them early, I had to use the early access to get Roccia's material, since she's my only 5* dps and she's a blast to play, also "Mamma Mia", so far I'm enjoying it but well started last week so in a month or so we will see

Dude this like happened to me with Camelya, I quit after getting the free Xiangli Yao of 1.2 never looked back until I saw the RInascita trailer, logged in just to check the waters tried pulling my first single 10 pull in a long time, got a Camellya (I didn't asked for), got her weapon in another single 10 pull in her weapon banner. And apparently got another copy of her in less than 30 pulls and was able to get her to an S3 by the end of her banner. LIke Wtf just happened? I went on to enjoy her gameplay and appreciated all the QOL features I missed, Did the Black Shores story Quest and fell in love with Shorekeeper, did some companion quests and slowly realize the direction of WUWA's storytelling and cinematic is finally getting better compared to launch. Rinascita patch came and dude I never felt soo thankful with that Camelya pull cause I know for myself I wouldn't have been patient enough to stay until Rinascita's patch which literally brought me back to the glory days of Genshin Launch. I never had this feeling for 5 years now, not to mention the game gave me another Carlotta and her weapon in less than 40 pulls. (I'm telling you this game has a returner's luck encoded into heir system). Once a hater now a testament that a game can be loved if they put their player's first before money. I love this game soo much I'm spending not for an edge in the game but I wanted this company to succeed so badly.

@Atmo-sp Standard pull is a good way to offset the time pressure of limited pull if done correctly. Imagine you spent your limited pull, but your team is still missing a support, or you don't have a signature weapon for one of the units. You can pull a replacement from standard banner while saving currency waiting for the rerun.

i can think of 2 things that i hate about wuwa, 1. i dont like the character models they use, zane has big eyes- wayy too big for her personality. phoebe looks like a slightly squished squash which reminds me of hey Arnold's head shape. i dont like how the mouth just... is too close to the nose, add some diversity, some characters with the mouth low to show that they are grownups and for the youngens keep the mouth as is. 2. game's unplayable.... you would think for a free gacha game they would try to optimise it enough so that its playable for most devices nowadays but nahhh only mid-high devices get to run it.... extra ; Camilya looks like a little girl with her short pig tails... her design was so bad i had to add a different skin to her (mod)

Its just I dislike the concept a super computer runs everything and predicts the future and all that bs. Why isnt it run by humans? makes no sense being used as tools by a super computer. Then Reniceta ? The festival is ok,, but the final boss showdown looses all its seriousness if its just a play and they were just playing along with Pavlova.
